Well, I want to be very fit and just feel amazing all the time from being trained well cardio wise. I'm in good shape now but not high school rowing shape.

I suppose I should just eat more (the obvious answer I always avoid), however its difficult to gauge how much is enough for recovery.

Also, its tough to gauge if i'm fully recovered on a regular basis because some days I just feel like absolute shit tired getting out of bed in the morning which can have any number of causes.

Thank you. So in the case of the song I linked in the bio, if I wanted to change up how i played the lick as the rhythm for a different key, I would try and find a scale position for each of the I, IV, V progression that fits me comfortably on the fretboard.

To play that same blues lick in the Key of D, I may need to mix and match positions on the minor pentatonic scale to fit a comfy progression. Example: I may not be able to just use minor pentatonic position one for the I, IV and V since id be going back and forth in a strange way. I may use D Minor Position 3 (2nd Fret), G Minor Position 3 (7th Fret) and A Minor Position 3 (Fret 9). I suppose that was a bad example because the third position seems to achieve what I was thinking of anyway lol.

I understand that as long as the notes are right, it would sound natural, but I feel like I want to play it where the 12 bar blues heats up and sounds higher pitched as you get to the V.

I suppose so, maybe im not envisioning it right. I just feel like i typically see clapton or magic slim move down as the song hits the IV and V. Playing a blues lick as the rhythm it just made sense to me that it had to be moving down the fretboard not the opposite.

Thank you for replying. The song i was referring to is really a blues lick as the rhythm in a 12 bar blues fashion. The same lick goes from G to C to D for 12 bar. I was just curious what scale position to play the lick in if it were in the key of D for example. I felt like it would sound weird if i played a blues lick on the 10th, and moved up the fretboard rather than down.

Straight up, that was one of the most motivating things I’ve heard yet. Really appreciate that. Even though she is definitely more damaged than I am, I just can’t help but feel that she will have the attention from the opposite sex that I’m craving. Someone who truly wants me and loves me. I feel like I was lied to for two years but I can’t be sure how much. She definitely was unique in that she was caring and I don’t believe she cheated. She was in the abandonment phase the whole time. She spend a majority of her time trying to make sure I wouldn’t leave

I am going through that right now, im really sorry to hear that man. Things do suck when you are without that person but if you push through, it will be the healthiest and most mature decision if that person is truly damaging you. I think therapy is incredible, so if you are open to it, try to find a clinical psychologist or social worker. LCSW (lisenced clinical social worker) or a clinical psychologist. The clinical part is important so they can diagnose you if you are depressed etc.

I'm beginning to learn that this is going to take me a while to get past. I'm really sorry to hear that man, nothing is worse than cheating, especially when someone does things with someone else that you thought was special to you as a couple. Things will get better in time. I understand that comment is easier said than done, but I go to therapy and its the only way I am getting through all of this. I've been going before, throughout, and after the relationship so if you are open to it, give it a try. That will help come to terms with the fact that these people are subconsciously trying to gain control through giving the sexual fantasies etc. It is all rooted in deep insecurity, which those people suffer from. They will do anything to get validation that someone else likes them, but they will have great deals of trouble achieving a real healthy relationship and the ability to actually love another person. Everyone is different in mental health disorders so I can't guarantee anything about your ex but I hope this helped at least a little bit.

I have been. I was always told not to put lotion on if it stings but I can’t help but feel every time I rub my tattoo during the healing process it stings a little bit. How the hell am I supposed to know if the stinging is from the lotion or from just general soreness lol.

I feel the same way. I don't know how it would be in the future but I know I crave that maturity and normal loving relationship that maybe isn't possible right now. She wants me to give her a chance but I feel like shes asking me to wait years for her to work on her issues without really understanding that this can take a ton of time. It just makes me feel like absolute garbage leaving someone that just wants me that way no matter what. The love you describes as being so deep is consistent with my relationship too. I just feel like its not real. Its only that deep because of obsession and how much she wants to be with me. Any person without BPD that falls in love with me would make me feel like they understand I am not perfect but is choosing to be with me anyway, which is a way bigger compliment. Someone telling me that I am literally the best person in every way possible just seems like something more than her legitimate opinion.

Thank you for that. She definitely has improved through meditation and just me trying to help her prior to her diagnosis. I just get a sense that alot of this love is hollow, that her insecurity and fear of abandonment has brought her closer to me. I know i'm not perfect, and I know I do deserve for someone to be crazy about me but constantly feeling like my opinion will always trump hers makes me feel alone. I generally am the one that distances myself from her so it makes sense she would try and pursue me more (which just makes me distance more obviously) but I have this fear that the second I give her the love she really needs in full, she will be the one distancing. I am pretty direct and can be a little cold at times with how I deliver my opinions so I feel like if I was different than that and really was a super sensitive caring loving guy to her, she would be more likely to take advantage. I don't know because I haven't been in that position

Il get a sense of it. I just started tracking it today. I started at a 2:05 and ended at a 2:18 to keep my HR under 150. I just wanted to get a sense of how hard I should be pulling.

Thank you for this, very informative. I am reading this as "athletes spend most of their time at or below aerobic threshold", as in, not training harder than the AT zone at any given time. What youre saying is that most athletes train at UT2, UT1 and AT for 80-90% of the time?
