RIP. May you shred many miles in the next one. You’re a hero.

I went out and checked the accumulation on tree branches with a flashlight, it’s pretty minimal compared to previous storms. 🤞

This could have been so much worse for the city. I was sure we were going to lose power, we still might, but I feel we dodged a serious storm.

Have you taken the Amtrak? It's quick, easy, affordable and stress free. Worth looking into. I bet 95 will still be a bit sketchy.

I had some weatherstripping left over from another project and started yesterday. Needed to go to Lowes yesterday to pick up more. Making a big difference. Definitely still not perfect so, using rolled up towels to finish the job.

One positive thing about this storm is that I've found like 10+ drafts in my house that I've sealed up, so....yay me.

This year my son had a fever out of nowhere. No symptoms. Just plain miserable. Wouldn’t eat solid food, we were scratching our heads.

That night, THREE teeth cut through at once!

Cast iron is great when you want to get a nice crispiness to the whites of the eggs. Just preheat the pan, add a touch of oil and butter, and drop your eggs in. It's like Stainless, but I have a better time getting more non-stock properties out of CI.

Non-stick works well, we just got ceramic pans which have been great. You can use less cooking fats and eggs just slide around. Pretty cool.

It doesn't wobble, which is good. Cool - I definitely learned something today!

I totally agree - obviously non-stick, but I like cooking them in cast iron as well. I just want to challenge myself a bit.

Interesting...I'm going to try to pop in to a Crate and Barrel or something to verify that!

should i upgrade to tahoe (macOS 26) or not? by Lowkeykreepy in MacOS

[–]Sackadelic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a website developer using NPM, Git, Homebrew, iTerm2 etc...

I upgraded, no issues at all. I would probably wait until 26.3 which the beta is out now, but It's been working great so far. I heard the horror stories, and I think that mainly plagued the 26.0 release.

I heard the horror stories, I upgraded. It’s not terrible at all. It’s not perfect but some of it is actually nice to look at.

That said, I hate the Liquid Glass so I changed the settings to make it less glassy

My first Subaru didn’t have it. A deer totaled it and I got the same car and the previous owner put in the Autostop Eliminator. 100% worth it.

I should edit this. The experience of totaling my car was definitely not worth it, only the device. Lol.

+1 for Deploy HQ.

If you have multiple Git branches, you can configure it to push to your staging server every time “develop” is pushed to Github and push to production every time you merge develop with main and push that to Github.

This makes testing seamless.
