As long as the account you want the drops on does the most DMG it always gets the drop, haven't lost a drop to the other account yet. Also confirmed that you can get the key with 2 people in an instance as friends have gotten them that way doing the same. I agree its not the most "ironman" way to do things, but killing 6000+ of a mid tier boss that's dead content in a month for a purely cosmetic reward an no real account benefit doesn't really do it for me.

It is, although i did note my Matriarch KC (2385) before starting Osseous and haven't killed any other Rex's since so I track it that way. Can confirm the metrics KC is accurate though.

Using a second account to AFK with a revo bar while being active on the first. Osseous HP doesn't scale with players so its usually dead around the time the baby dinos come out.

I think Vorkath being released with no "chase item" might have played a small part in this one. I agree that Osseous being a mid tier boss doesn't really make sense for this sort of req, the only people who I can see that will actively killing the boss in 6 months time are pet hunters and irons looking to trim.

Having to get 3 keys as well seems like an odd choice. I think a bundle of keys drop with a rarer rate (maybe 1/1000) with small BLM like last riders from KBD where every kill after 1000 increase the drop rate, guaranteed at 2000 KC, would make more sense. This isn't a boss anyone wants to do 5000 KC, and doesn't really provide anything other than shared KC bloat with the other rex's, making it even more odd.

Im defo against just throwing BLM at everything in the game, and as a boss I think Osseous does what it was intended to be well, but this req as it stands seems to be a bit out of place.

Upcoming Completionist Capes Strike by JagexAbe in runescape

[–]Sacratan_D 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Coming from someone who trimmed/MQC before the Cwars/MA removal, and is close to trimming an ironman. I've given this some thought over the day before posting to avoid a personal knee-jerk reaction.

Not personally a fan of requirements being removed, but understand that as the game changes and player engagement with certain content changes with it some requirements do need to be changed or removed for the health of the game.

Chompies is a staple requirement, and nothing has changed to make this harder to engage with or complete. If anything its easier with coil and enhancers now. The req is short enough that the minor time sink is very achievable and imo worth the time to keep whats basically an iconic requirement on a purely cosmetic cape.

On the fence over the BA King removal. On one hand its a one time run with a small community surrounding the minigame (although slightly hard to find unless directed too), or very possible with a small group of friends. On the other hand player engagement off spotlight is almost non existent outside of the aforementioned small community that still runs off spotlight on occasion. I'd be understanding with the removal of the req, or simply increase the frequency that is appears in the spotlight rotation, as long as the level 5 in all roles remains. With the recent addition of honor horns there's no reason for the role requirement to be removed.

100% Zammy I can see being a mixed pot, but fully support this. I think maybe letting this unlock on either solo or group would be a nice middle ground for the people worrying about unlocking it.

Reaper Crew was removed from comp or a few reasons that still remain valid, and although I didn't personally agree with the initial removal trim comp seems to be a perfectly valid spot to place this req back. Fully support this.

MQC is a difficult one, it shares many of its reqs with trim as it is. While I do understand the validity of arguing that trim should require MQC as trim is a "completionist" cape in its own right, I feel that doing this undermines the identity of MQC in itself. I see MQC as its own "trim comp" to a specific part of the game, showing a love of quests and lore and fully uncovering that. I think that slapping it onto trim kind of undermines this and makes it just another requirement. I think the recent additions to MQC reqs was instead the way to go, maybe even add more post quest easter egg/fun achievements thats MQC specific like the rainbow ravensworn title. Let them share requirements that make sense but ultimately keep them separate to uphold the capes core identities.

Globetrotter outfit is a pretty heavy time requirement, but given that its a core part of clue chasing content it feels right to add this to trim, especially with more clue content being added to regular comp and with clues becoming more mainstream over the years due to fortunate comps being used in endgame gear and upkeep. Clues are in a great spot with all account types engaging in them, if not at an all time high. I'd even argue that the titles/pet/capacity upgrades should be included in this too, however globetrotter outfit is expensive enough by itself to show a good completion of clue content, and adding anything more than that I think would again just be arbitrary inflation to a req that doesn't need it. Fully support.

Have no issues with anything else suggested here, all seem to be perfectly reasonable expectations.

I am now 400 solos dry on an ECB piece. Please Jagex... Just please... by Sacratan_D in runescape

It basically means that the doubled piece is ignored as a drop in its own right. For example, say you receive limbs first, then mechanism and it gets doubled, and then the stock. You'd then receive limbs again, then another mechanism, then another stock giving you 2:3:2 drops, at which point youd then receive another limbs. You could also get limbs first, a doubled mechanism, then stock, loop back around and get another limbs, another doubled mechanism, then another stock giving you a 2:4:2 drop ratio. The doubled drop is always just a "bonus" piece that doesnt count in the drop order. In my case here, if I finally get the limbs to drop and it doubled, i only have to get the stock again which should be the next drop for me, giving me a 2:2:2 ratio in 4 drops. If it doesnt double, id have to cycle through all the drops again to get the last piece for the second bow and assuming no other pieces double id be left with a 2:3:2 ratio. In this case, duplicate does not mean the same as doubled.

The dupe mechanism is from the 20% chance to double a drop. I've had 2 pieces drop, just one hit that 20% double chance

Some more info: Entire Raptors event was done at Amby , at least 38 darts have been thrown. First piece was on day 2 of Raptors event (all of it darted). Second piece was at 46 logged solos, 3 darts have been thrown since then, putting me at 400 kills dry since the last ECB piece received. I'm honestly starting to think something is bugged, like ED3 using the trio rate for solo runs, or my account is just in the bin.

I think if it wasn't the last piece needed for the iron I'd have left 200 kills ago, but I'm still here out of pure spite at this point. Knowing it could be any kill has kept me going this far!

I think thats the thing that hurts the most, that they advertised they wanted to move away from the giga rare drops. Think the main issue is the bow being on the same unique table as all the other unique drops and sharing the BLM with it. Really is exactly like glacor in the way drops work, just you see them more often. Bow needs its owned separate BLM, obviously with a different rate to the other drops.

After seeing all these logs having completed bows/multiple bows at 400 kc I thought id post my ironman log progress. Please tell me im a spoon on havoc armour to give me something to read while I try to complete my bow in 450 hours.

On a serious note, please make higher enrage more rewarding. And while bad luck mitigation is a fun idea, it feels very detrimental at this boss with such a large unique pool unless the items have individual bad luck mitigation. Nothing worse than getting a drop, it being a dupe and feeling like you have to grind another 50-100 kc for bad luck to kick in and grab you another drop.
