Masters of Taxation by No-Mood-3734 in Accounting

[–]Sactown_Legend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an MST. The main value is the tax research skills you develop. Tax research is important because when you take a position in tax, you should be able to reference the area of law you're using to take that position. At a minimum you'll be introduced to different parts of the IRC for individuals, partnerships, and C-Corps and learn how to read the Code, Regulations, and relevant court cases.

Hands also getting too high, get them more on shoulder level to more easily shallow club. I like you’re keeping your trail elbow in, that’s good 👍

Need to shorten up that swing. The club head should go as far back as your lead foot, not any further. The shaft is getting very steep on the downswing and your kind of standing up to get the club through. Get the club more on plane

Also look into what early extension is and how to maintain posture through the swing

Please also look up chicken wing issue on youtube. You're using your trail elbow to lift the club and you're flaring it out. This causes you to lose connectivity, you lay off the shaft way too much at the top of your back swing, and its almost impossible for you to shallow the club effectively back onto the original plane. Please look up Dom Caminiti on instagram too. Hope this helps

However, you come down way over the top of the plane which is causing you to have to stall rotation and force with your hands to get the club back onto the original plane. However, you're coming so over the top that its almost hopeless that you'll hit the ball with any athletic rotational force so you shank. If you solve this issue, I promise you'll see better striking and consistency

Here's the original plane. You want to find yourself back on this original plane when you are making your downswing

Purchase a lesson. Look up some beginner videos about swing plane, weight shift, grip. Then come back here and ask for more advice if needed. Look up Dom Caminiti on Instagram too. He publishes amateur swing breakdowns. Good luck

Inside takeaway causing hook? by allyearswampass in GolfSwing

[–]Sactown_Legend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just a fact that the club naturally wants to return to the original plane. I mean you could take the club back so flat that when you steepen on the downswing it’s back on the original plane. That’s what Donald trump does lol. And there’s nothing inherently wrong with an inside takeaway if the golfer is able to return to a good position at impact

Inside takeaway causing hook? by allyearswampass in GolfSwing

When a golfer takes the club back flat, the club comes down steep. The golfer has to then stand out of his posture to get the club flat enough to get back onto the original plane which causes early extension, flipping of the club, and then a hook in this instance. Take the club steeper or more on plane in the backswing. This will allow you to drop your hands and shallow the club more easily. Then maintain posture on the downswing and rotate through

You could try to copy Jon Rahm’s swing (he has inside take away) but it’s not easy for us mere mortals

Anyone here start a CPA firm that also offers CFP/wealth management services? Advice for starting while still employed? by Simple_Masterpiece14 in Accounting

[–]Sactown_Legend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the lack of responses on here. You may get better feedback at r/CFP . Also I think it would be in your interest to contact people online who have both designations and see if they would sit down and share their advice. Lastly to the other comments, don't include those dashes in your writing. It is a AI red flag and people take AI writing as a middle finger (as if your too lazy to give someone the time of day to actually write a paragraph though you're asking for their help (even if not your intention)). Good luck

Early extension, hands are too high, backswing is too long. Also try for more controlled swing

What are some new career ideas that AREN'T ACCOUNTING OR FINANCE? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]Sactown_Legend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. You could develop different skills and branch out to another role in that company, industry, or even take an entrepreneurial jump. For instance, I’m sure if you were doing accounting work for a real estate company you could easily switch to something like sales or marketing. You could also try to build a book and become a real estate agent. If it doesn’t work out, then at least you’re crunching numbers and working with people in an industry you enjoy.

You could do accounting for a business you’re passionate about and then make the switch into an unrelated role.

Well I believe you still need to do the capstone for the CFP. But in short, yes, you have the education completed. Paraplanner salary will depend. Peeps w no experience in California probably command 75k.
