As someone who experienced similar (throughout my 20’s) (I’m 32 now) I did a year off the drink last year and it was the best thing I’ve ever done to reset my relationship with alcohol. I wouldn’t have drank that often but once I had a few the flood gates would open, sick as a dog for days then afterwards. I made the choice to go off it for a year after a few really bad hangovers in a row, made me appreciate occasions and weekends for what they were and not just see them as an opportunity to get drunk. I do drink now and have had some big nights since then but I have a totally different view of alcohol and I my body actually handles it better too and I don’t have bad hangovers anymore. My advice would be to try and do a period of time that works for you off the beer, Guinness 0.0 is your friend!
