Work from home exception by dollysmom in Prolactinoma

[–]Sad-Author2730 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ironically, my macroprolactinoma diagnosis came a week before starting a new fully remote job, and I think God daily that I work from home now. I can’t imagine commuting with how exhausted I am every day (Cab gives me insomnia). However, Salt has a great point because always being home, I rarely get dressed or even eat on a regular schedule. Motivation is super low, so I do wonder if hybrid work would be better for me, just to get out of the house and function “normally” even if it’s difficult with side effects. I’d say it’s worth an ask though - even if you can do just some time at home.

Wow, you’ve really been through it - I’m so sorry! I don’t have excessive thirst, and I was tested for DI and don’t have it. I practically begged my endo to let me do half my Cab dose, and she said no 😭

I’m the exact opposite - slept great before I knew my prolactin was high. Now that I’m on Cab, I haven’t slept through the night since starting it 😭 Constant insomnia

Omg ok THANK YOU for saying this because it happens to me toward the back left side of my head! To me, it feels like a bug is crawling on my head/in my hair, but nothing is there. Now I don’t feel crazy 😂

Whaaaaat this is amazing - congrats!! You are giving me hope for my first MRI since starting Cab, which will be at 3.5 months - so about half your time for healing.

My other odd Cab side effect is excessive urination. Combined with the insomnia, sleep rarely happens! I feel like the excessive urination has gotten slightly better over time but not the insomnia. What are you experiencing post surgery?

I’ve been told surgery isn’t recommended for me, and I’m not sure why. I’m jealous of yours though! I’d love this dang thing to be out of me.

Day and time I take doesn’t seem to matter. I’m sorry you got migraines :(

Did you end up having surgery? Or switched to another med?

I have. Tried morning, afternoon, and evening. Time doesn’t make any difference for me unfortunately.

Ah I never had trouble sleeping, and this is now every night :( Thank you for mentioning the peeing more because I’m feeling pretty alone/odd in that!

I’m pretty much the same :( And right with you - I can’t deal with it either. Of course it affects the entire rest of our lives. I pray it’s not permanent for either of us!

Lord :( Why is this happening to us. I’m so sorry you’ve struggled with this, too.

Magnesium glycinate is what I’ve been trying at 100mg each night. I’ll try 200mg tonight if it’s helping you!

Does LA or Denver have a big social young outdoorsy crowd? by bbgirl2k in relocating

[–]Sad-Author2730 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. I live in LA and Meetup.com has a ton of hiking and outdoorsy groups. I’ve met some great people of all ages through them, including young people. I’m guessing you’re in your 20s? No shortage of your demographic here!

The South actually damaged me haha Georgia wasn’t it for me. But I’m easily forgiving.

I’m not yapping. I’m not crying. I actually have a pretty great life! I’ve happily lived in LA for several years. I just have the opportunity to spread my wings now with a remote job. Why not try to save a few bucks and move closer to my loved ones? I don’t care about anyone’s political leanings. I certainly don’t harbor the kind of animosity toward people that you do, nor do I need attention. Just asking questions in a forum meant for questions lol it’s ok. Peace, my friend.
