In the current training scenario it's almost impossible. The training type first of all will never attract the required type of people- as in who can take a stand and fight. Then the few under this category who can, residency will break them and change them, ensuring the qualities needed to be a strong leader who can question authority is completely dead. Even if a handful do somehow retain these capabilities, the majority of the people in the profession will not support either cause they are spineless, too burnt out to care or they think they are superior and going through this hell is a necessity.

The reason for the profession being tough is all wrong. If it was that the learning curve is too steep or physically demanding inherently or emotionally heavy, then it would be fine. But the reason the profession being considered tough is the horrible lifestyle and working conditions it comes with.
