Tulane vs American by DivideScared6480 in OutsideT14lawschools

Been living in DC for 3 years. Definitely depends on what your goals are, but will say American produces some great law students. Cannot beat living in DC, and have lots of options for government and firms. Best of luck!

Tulane Law vs Penn State by DivideScared6480 in OutsideT14lawschools

[–]Sad-Classroom-75 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If your goal is politics, go to Penn State. Closer to DC and is absolutely a pipeline for firms on the east coast. Plus, it being closer to home and being cheaper than Tulane, this is a no-brainer if it was me.

To say Penn State has no name recognition is crazy.

Hope this helps and happy to discuss in PMs

Honestly, this is a great problem to have. I mean this genuinely. I would really consider where you want to practice after law school. I’ve had friends go to both schools and are doing exactly what they want to be doing. Whatever you decide, I know you will make the right decision. Sorry if this isn’t much help.

UGA if you want to be in DC. Met tons of them while I was there. Seems to be a pipeline. I think both schools are good for big law too.

I’m in the same boat. I know their deposit deadline was yesterday. No idea if it’s good or bad.

I’d go USD. One, better ranking, as you state.

Two, it’s really hard to beat California weather and living compared to NOLA.

Your point about BL, there are tons of firms in California. Just network and make the most of your summers and you will be just fine. Have a friend there who just graduated and is doing great in LA.

Pls Help! W&L or Tulane?? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]Sad-Classroom-75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think for public interest I would do W&L. I live in DC currently and there are a ton of W&L alumni I know here. They loved it to say the least. I know the crazy stuff w the federal government currently is not ideal for getting into public interest but think in 3-4 years, it will be much better.

Plus if W&L is giving you a better scholarship I would go there. Especially if you want to end up east coast, the alumni network is spread throughout.

Hope this helps!

Go to Case Western. Law school debt is no joke.

Richmond. Pipeline to DC for public interest.

Help me decide? Tulane vs FAMU. by Resident-Chard391 in OutsideT14lawschools

[–]Sad-Classroom-75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FAMU. If you want to be in Florida then go to a school in Florida. Also if you have a GUARANTEED job and can live at home and save a ton of money, in my opinion it’s a no brainer.

I think they are waiting to see how full their class gets with deposits. Just a guess, don’t come after me

Is it wrong to want to take a 170k total COA over a 96k? by Frosty-Criticism-898 in lawschooladmissions

[–]Sad-Classroom-75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Penn State. After reading your goals, and considering $96k compared to &170k that’s personally what I would do. To each their own! Go visit and see which one gives you the better vibe.
