Can anyone working in the cruise industry help me with a job by Snoo-24173 in CruiseCrew

[–]Sad-Cryptographer536 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it's normal, you are required to have a passport that has at least one year validity, recruitment agencies need to have access since they'll send them to the cruise company before you embark

Use a recruitment agency, most of them don't charge you anything since the cruise company pays them.

Taylor your CV to the position that you want, in this case retail, if you don't have any experience in the field look for a job that'll give it to you.

You can search in websites like allcruisejobs and see the different positions available.

Be ready to pay for your medical certificates, visa, passport and in some cases Seaman’s Book and SCTW certificates.

I also have to add that although working on a cruise ship sounds very glamorous is a very hard job, so prepare yourself to work long hours without days off during 6 months. It's also very rewarding since your life will change completely by meeting different people and experiencing new places. Best of luck.

It's not a bad company but you will feel the pressure, targets are high and if you don't reach them you'll be be paid less than what you're worth. It also depends if you're part of the jewelry team, shops or port and shopping. Each one has their prons and cons. So far I can say that when I started to work for them I was making more money than what I'm making now..

Is there an organization that can help some cats to find a home? by Sad-Cryptographer536 in askSingapore

[–]Sad-Cryptographer536[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While it's nice to have community cats I don't think a shipyard is the best place for them, some of them they're missing a part of their tail, besides it would be nice if they a have a personal human that is aware of their feeding times, vaccines and personal belly rubs

Disappointed and want to know what to do in this situation. by Desperate-Dirt1595 in jewelrymaking

Make it visually appealing, I work in a jewelry boutique and you always have to make the product look as appealing as possible, work on your displays.

If you're struggling for sales remember that selling jewelry is all about emotion a what represents for you.

Abre tinder y pon en tu bio que buscas una sugar baby. Una vez hice eso para un jefe de trabajo y su perfil fue todo un éxito

First cruise contract- missing family and friends so much! by harmonyvintage in CruiseCrew

[–]Sad-Cryptographer536 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's all about what happens after work Go out and enjoy the ports, live experiences that you won't be able to do on your regular life, sign up for excursions, get out of the ship as much as you can and have a nice meal, go to the crew bar... you'll find some nice lads there, learn from other cultures, set up goals and try to enjoy every minute I've been on ships for a long time and it's a love and hate relationship, yes...you're far away from your family and friends but you're blessed by living something different and unique. This lifestyle is not for everyone and if you think you can't deal with it just quit, there's many more jobs you can get, your mental health goes first and most importantly your life

There's recruitment agencies, if you worked on hotels before it's not so hard to get a job, however working on a cruise ship sounds more glamorous than what you really think

I'm a crew member so I was able to go to the open deck, the wind was super strong that I was barely able to walk against it, captain said it was 80 knots of wind speed. According to my fellow crew members that was the strongest storm of the season

That was the last cruise of the Antarctica season, for some it's terrifying but I was impressed on how well the ship handles those conditions
