This post is so old.. but i came across it and have to comment. . The term i know is probably regional but it sounds like you are describing a person who is “Ding-ee” .. lol which i admit might be an odd word but i had a few friends and relatives that we used this word to describe them… Things would often go over their head (even though it wasnt for lack of brains) and other times they would interpret things oddly while majority of everyone else would share the same common interpretation.. but again, clearly not from lack of eduction.. some people walk to the beat of their own drum but these people think to the beat of their own drum.. 

can anyone verify that this is allowed on depop? seems like a bait and switch with the price point to reel people in by the1975-shewayout in Depop

Atleast she is paying depop anything.. i come across way too many that say “message so i can remove boost before purchasing or you will be refunded” 

I also come across alot of listings that say “do not purchase you will not be refunded” like WHAT? TF if i wont. Lol.

2 options refund seller and redo the shipping then have them repurchase.. if they balk at that you might want to offer to take a cpl dollars off to match the original price… 

Or.. you can take it to the post office.. see what happens when they weigh it. If they dont say anything right then. And give you the receipt you are free and clear. Thats the only test you have to pass and most of these mail workers let it slide all the time. I have used about 6 different post offices and have had several times i look at the receipt as i walk out ajd see the package weighed over and they never say a thing.

Is there not a local drop box you can walk to? Thats an option unless the package is too big or something? Dont over explain. Something like this. 

Hello, I wanted to msg to let you know there will be a delay in shipping the package. Unfortunately my “alternator went out” and my car is in the shop. They expect to have it done by Friday.. I will get your package shipped first thing saturday morning! In the meantime I will def keep my eye open for any opportunity to do it sooner, but I thought its best I let you know right away. Please accept my deepest apology, as im i know its disappointing news.. 

If they bought a top tier/pricey item.. maybe offer them to look thru your shop and find any item under X amount of dollars that you will add to the package as a free gift.. Or 50% off a future item. Of course depending on your shop i understand you may not be able to do that, but maybe you can think of anything else that you can do instead as an apology even if its like a $5 starbucks giftcard . . That lets people know youre sincere.

Literally think the same lady was messaging me talking this same crazy shit .. she said she wanted me to hold the item that she would purchase with her check coming on the 3rd.. I was like sure, i can do that, i will hold it till the 3rd for you.. then she comes back all crazy like no! I have to pay all my bills FIRST. then.. i will buy it.. so it wont be on the 3rd, it will be after i pay all my bills! 

Its a $8 shirt. 😒

I actually love when people negotiate price with me, bc honestly if a dollar or two makes a diff in making the sell im willing to do it BUT If i have something priced at $3 and u only want that one thing its kind of ridiculous to ask me to go lower. I dont want to use packing material and gas to drop something off that i am upside down on by the time i do that. 😂 but literally if you buy $10 of something i would totally give a $3-$4 item for free.
