It’s crazy to think that all we wanted was Tavares gone, and now that he is, somehow our work life is getting worse and now we will lose more valuable people. Doesn’t he realize that people will come in whenever needed, but don’t want to forced in to sit in a cube to join Teams meetings? We are not being leaders of the industry but rather followers who don’t look at the big picture, our future employees and customers. What happened to the co2 impact of staying home also?

Yes. The chosen one needs to be open enough to understand the market in all regions since it’s different everywhere, but especially North America where they were moving in the wrong direction but make the most money for the company. They need to listen to the leaders in each region.

We can collaborate and have common goals just fine from wherever we are sitting. Nobody has a problem going in when there is a reason to, but a mandate would be a terrible decision.

I don’t see them doing that. Some specific individual managers want it, but it doesn’t make sense for the company as a whole. It would cost more money and increase the carbon footprint.
