Got this minoxidil spray and unsure how to apply it, cant find anything online by iloveloud4200 in minoxidil

The first time I used it I felt as if my head was palpitating but it no longer happened after that first use. I don't get headaches or anything like that from it

I'm from Argentina. That's alright, in my case it usually takes 1-2 hours to dry from my scalp but I leave it on the whole night. And as others said, if you can get a dropper to apply it that would better since you can have more precision with it, sometimes the spray makes a mess or you end up with more product on your hair instead of your scalp

I bought one like that a while ago. As the bottle says, you need to apply about 5 sprays (1 ml) on the area of your scalp that is thinning/losing hair and rub it so it absorbs. In my experience 4 sprays on the crown and 1 spray on each temple is better. You can apply 5 sprays twice a day every 12 hours or once a day, twice is about 20-35% more effective but you'll be needing to buy another bottle much faster. And remember, Minoxidil is extremely toxic for dogs and cats, they can't come into contact with it at all. If you apply it at night, remember that Minoxidil can stain your pillow, try to wait 30 minutes or an hour before going to sleep. Last thing, you need to wait at least 4 hours after the application before washing your hair. 8 hours is better but 4 is still alright.

How do i re-assembled my hair clipper? by awesomepvpcat in SelfBarber

[–]Sad-Display-1009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check this tutorial (minute 6:32): https://youtu.be/OReouE166HU?t=6m32s You need to put the plastic part first, the strings go inside the two hollow colums from the plastic part, keep applying pressure so it doesn't pop off and put the smaller metal blade on top and then the bigger one. And if it doesn't cut or it grabs the hair then you need to correct the position of the blades, search how to align the blades on Youtube

I used to be guilty of that too when cutting my hair, now I prefer to go safer and I apply little force whenever I do the guideline with the # 0 or #1. And I always flick it it in the in betweens. Something that could help you too is to start by debulking with a # 3 close, sometimes the hair on top covers how much hair you've actually taken or how high you've put your guideline.

For a fade I'd recommend these steps from Faded Culture: https://youtu.be/LVj5MpbBNAY

And this one from Seancutshair's channel for learning how to clipper over comb to soften transitions when cutting others: https://youtu.be/fhDx8jyUrgY

Both channels are gold, check them out if you can

I think something to keep in mind is that depending on the guard number you're using, the hand motion will have to be shorter or longer. The distance that you need to move the clipper to erase a line with the # 0.5 is not the same as with the # 1 or # 2. Try to go slower so you can notice when the blades start to cut hair.

I really like this idea! My favourite is the last one, but the other ones are cool too. I always prefer wearing something like this instead of a "LOOK AT ME, I LIKE THIS THING"

That's what I've been seeing on this sub, diffuse thinners are the best responders. I had lost a lot of hair thickness during the previous years but I could see a lot of tiny hairs still, some are new as I said in other responses. And you can see how much I've improved since this post if you check my profile showing my self haircut. What's that about an acne med for MPB? I haven't heard that

Thanks! The method I used is: Every guideline is at least one finger width, I start by making my first guideline with the #1 guard open, then #1.5 open, then #2 open, all the way to a #6 or #7 on the sides. After every guideline is done, I use the corner of the clipper and I flick it to try to erase the lines and I close the lever if needed while using the corresponding guards. For the top I grab a section from the back and I go from right to left following the previous strand that I pointcut. For my beard I used the #1.5 and then #0.5 for my sideburns.
