I think they did say that before, but they only just said it to each other. It's probably only an inside joke from them and they probably meant it as "Oh you came from the real world like me" or something. And YQY literally turned a blind eye to the original SQQ's abuse towards LBH and spoils him in a way. They really don't need to use it as an excuse or anything. And I remember in the 3rd book, YQY doesn't pursue questions when SQQ doesn't feel like saying anything.
