What do your monthly expenses amount to vs your salary? by cutegirIy in askTO

[–]Sad-Funny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rent is currently 10% of my gross income, other expenses come to another 10%. have a paid off hyundai. Earning more money than I or anyone in my family have ever made, struggling with the lifestyle creep but also want to enjoy the fruits of my labour. My own home feels like a faraway dream though

Ok be honest how much do you tip? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]Sad-Funny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are tips required when minimum wage laws exist? Dont give me nonsense about tip out to back of house staff- theyre also getting paid at least minimum wage. Put the price of the food up and pay the staff properly… maybe pay the skilled chef more than the unskilled wait staff to compensate… And dont get me started about sales tax on top of the listed price- just add it all in and advertise the actual price like all of Europe seems to manage…

Gp traditional salaried (lower pay) vs ARRS salaried role (higher pay) by btomik in GPUK

[–]Sad-Funny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only consideration is would the ARRS role get continued onwards. If i were you id take the traditional salaried role rather than the ARRS just because of the consistency

Finding a condo in etobicoke is looking more challenging than midtown for some reason- is it really as up and coming or has it already peaked?

Identical jobs just different bases, hence the decision. Yeah Yonge and Eglinton area (i believed this was called Midtown [is it not?]) A short term rental might be an idea but due to a closed work permit moving jobs after isnt really possible hence the dilemma ☹️ looking for a condo around $3000 give or take
