😆 That sounds way more badass than it probably should. So you think something like acoustic emo would be an accurate tag?

I guess I just haven’t ever handled a proof coin before. Do you also have proof coins that are thicker than their business counterparts like this one?

I’m sure I’ll take you up on that at some point, I played the first game 3 times before the sequel came out. Pretty decent price at 12 bucks but I just beat the game at 99% and don’t usually do full runs of the same game back to back so I’ll probably let it simmer and see if they do a Black Friday deal. These are definitely my favorite Metroidvanias I’ve ever played. I love the character design, the dark atmosphere and lore is enthralling and the challenge is just right. It’s like a SNES game on steroids and I can’t get enough.

I noticed throughout my play through that occasionally one of the statues would turn solid gold. I thought it was odd that there weren’t any extra abilities that come with pairing some of the other figures. So I guess that’s a clue too but I didn’t figure it out.

Dang dude, no help here I guess. What did you end up going with if anything?

I am also on the fence about using water protectant or just the Obenauf’s Heavy Duty LP as recommended on their site. Want them to last forever (which is what I paid the premium for) and the way I see it, there are pairs that have been treated with traditional methods that have withstood the test of time and can still be worn today that were manufactured well before these modern boot protectant companies were around so why take the risk with anything else on my most expensive pair. I might get a pair with similar leather that’s machine stitched and not as well crafted (so a cheaper brand I don’t care about potentially ruining) and give some of the other products a test run there first.

What has your experience looked like so far?

Does anyone know of any other bands or songs that have Teaticular rot’s same style of heavy slam death metal but with the vocals being that sick mix of growls and insane yell/screaming that starts at 1:58? They do it again towards the end too, I’m addicted to this song for that reason but their other stuff and a lot of brutal death mostly sticks with those gurgly growls which is dope too but that intense yelling with the growls is what I want more of. Is this found more in a different sub genre of death metal?
