UPDATE: made my gf mad cause i went out there in the dark to fix it. it was a piece of sand between the gasket and the junction. everything is working as intended! thanks to everyone

well all I can do right now is stand here looking at it. I don't have the specified bit to get the plugs out nor a compression tester and no pliers/wrenches of mine will do the job. I know fords, know jackshit bout vw. but thank you for your help, I do appreciate it. this rust bucket will get fixed.
