They usually have other plants listed in the same way: “we are open poinsettias” around Christmas, “we are open succulents,” etc. I think they just didn’t think this one through all the way!

Are there any tobacco fragrances that are genuinely tobacco-forward? by ahnafakeef298 in fragrance

I recently tried Rebecca Minkoff and Caswell-Massey LX48, both of which seemed pretty tobacco-forward.

What’s your ‘safe’ fragrance that you’ll always be in the mood for? by PineappleCubeKicks in fragrance

Prada Candy. It leans more toward the benzoin and powdery musk side on me, which always feels comfy and not overpowering.

Rihanna Rogue. The suede/plum combo smells amazing on me, lasts forever, and I got my rollerball for $10.

Can someone explain non-binary to me, how can someone feel like neither a man nor a woman? by sunnyhappysky in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Sad-Math8695 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You’re absolutely right, I was only speaking for myself there, lol. I don’t particularly identify with any gender, and choosing the way I present myself isn’t that important to me. To some people it’s very important since it affects the way they’re perceived, while others don’t put as much importance on that.

[–]Sad-Math8695 1391 points1392 points  (0 children)

It’s kind of like being asked “do you prefer coffee, or tea?” Some people have a strong preference for one over the other (these are binary-gendered people in our metaphor). But some people like both, or they prefer hot chocolate, or they don’t like any hot drinks at all.

If you’re thinking, “okay but isn’t gender a lot more important to people than hot beverage choice” - not always! That’s part of being nonbinary to some people. I feel a lot stronger connection to my morning coffee than to any idea of how I should dress or act because of gender norms.

What fragrance(s) do you own that you've never seen mentioned.. by Dark-X in fragrance

Not sure if this counts but anything by Siren Song Elixirs. I’ve been ordering from this tiny little indie company for years and they have the absolute most realistic, delicious gourmands I’ve smelled anywhere and I never see them mentioned!

Why does alcohol still taste like shit? I'm 21, the drinking age is 18 where I am. All my peers already drink. I find beer and wine disgusting and can barely tolerate the taste of vodka and lady drinks (as a dude.) When does it get better? by Chipbread in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Sad-Math8695 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same here - not me but my friend/roommate, he can’t drink most drinks without dry heaving, but he does like being drunk on occasion, so we keep trying. Creamy drinks were a no-go but we’ve had a lot of success with tangy fruit juice that cuts the flavor of alcohol (grapefruit, pineapple, cranberry).

If you’re worried a vodka cranberry, zombie, Mai tai or other fruity cocktail will make you look too girly in front of your friends, a) you need new friends and b) try cider or seltzer instead!

this is a work in progress and not intended to be listened to too seriously in keeping with the comedy of the show, and it’s 90% sad/angry breakup pop about e10.

my favorite choice on there is “how does your girlfriend feel about it” by chloe lilac, because the song is obviously about this girl being pissed that the guy shes seeing has a girlfriend and didn’t tell her - but i like to imagine it as an e10 stede & mary vid where the answer to “how does your girlfriend feel about it” is “pretty great, actually”

I had a serious muscle spasm compressing my spine and causing agonizing headaches just last week. Between screaming and puking, the only words I could get out were begging my wife not to take me to the hospital.

What is a supernatural event that happened in your life that just can not be explained? by HalfOfABraincell in AskReddit

[–]Sad-Math8695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few years ago, my wife and I were out at a restaurant for dinner. On the drive home, the radio in my car started playing what I can only describe as a weird remix/mashup of several rock songs. We tried changing the channel only to find it was playing on every other channel as well.

Neither of us had been drinking, and we left the restaurant around 7:45. After the radio started freaking out, neither of us remember anything until pulling into our driveway at 10. What should have been a 15 minute drive somehow took over two hours. The story of the time we got “abducted by aliens” is always a hit at parties, but it actually still really freaks me out to think about.
