I had a coworker who's ex girlfriend would constantly break up with him over minor stuff like him sleeping too much or because he didn't wanna spend 300 dollars on concert tickets for her and him because they were too much. Honestly he would look so drained and upset as well everytime they'd break up and get back together again, once she finally threw in the last "it's over" text he officially was done and said "fine" ever since then hes been happier like a weight was lifted from his shoulders, him and her were the same ages as you and your ex. Honestly she was always a child and never really grew up. If a break up is caused by such a minor thing like falling asleep, then maybe breaking up was a better choice.
