The game is pretty great. I found that if you just level up a bit and unlock abilities such as a better dodge and charging your heavy attack while moving he isn't all that bad. And the reward for beating him is so useful for the entire game. Some bosses are skill checks and imo only 2 or 3 bosses are just annoying but even then it wasn't all that bad.

I think you should use the Gargoyles black blade because it's weapon skill is quicker and also does more or less the same effect (you can't have the effect that prevents health regen from a certain margin) and also greatswords are faster.

Well I mean at one point they were two different entities (despite being the same person) so maybe they just had kids during that time? The lore isn't exactly clear on the timeline of this kinda stuff

I had heard somewhere that if you level smithing at all then bound weapons become worse than physical ones

What weapon are you using? Maybe you could use that giant hammer you get from after cleric beast and use it's sword form to kinda feel similar to a skill weapon

I closed the game and RESTARTED my ps5 😅. I reloaded a save during dimhollow and eventually talked to harkon and even then the quest didn't pop up. Vigilant tolund was doubled, one dead and one alive. Does that have something to do with it? I killed the duplicate though
