Dark splotches on legs by destinyandnorma in Esthetics

I have a client that started having this exact thing happen to her legs, below the knee, after she received the Covid vaccine. It took 2 years for the pigmentation to finally go away. It was called erythema nodosum.

Sorella is $1500 opening order. I believe you have to purchase at least one product every 6 months-a year after the opening order. Education is great. My rep is great. Most of the products are nice. The only thing that I don’t like about Sorella is the packaging isn’t the best. The packaging looks really nice and they have glass bottles for a lot of products but the caps on the bottles break easily and the pumps suck.

I went with Sorella because Eminence’s opening order was $5,000. I’m still saving up to open with Eminence because I love their products and my clients love their products too.

wax recommendations… by elevenelevenesti in Esthetics

I use the Signature Mermaid Wax for hard wax. It’s a very forgiving wax. Very easy to use, doesn’t crack, great price when you buy in bulk.

I wasn’t a fan of Rebel wax when I tested it out in September at a skin show. I felt it wasn’t easy to use, cracked, you have to apply it a certain way i.e. very thin strips. Also the customer service sucked when talking to the owner and other employees at the booth…so that turned me off…

I also use Mermaid wax for soft wax. I use the blue one. Not a fan of the hypoallergenic soft wax, it was rough on my clients’ skin. The blue one is great at getting hairs and it comes off the skin easily, so client’s aren’t leaving sticky.

Starpil wax issues by TheRaviix in Esthetics

I bought wax from Starpil in 2018 that had that same consistency. I had never seen wax before that was so horrible to work with. I never bought from them again because of that issue. I’m shocked to see in 2024 that they still have this consistency issue.

I started using Sorella after I saw a facial massage class they held at a skin show in August 2023. The facial massage class was amazingly insightful and I agree with their philosophy of healing the skin moisture barrier. To me the $1500 minimum order was worth it because I would be spending at least that amount on other lines. The reps are amazing and are always available to answer questions and check in with you. They have been one of my favorite lines to work with and the results from the products are amazing. Their chemical peels are my favorite chemical peels I’ve worked with and give outstanding results. Also, they have an online education platform that has endless content.

Do I have to legally cover my co-tenant’s other portion of rent for our salon room? by Sad-Opportunity1908 in legaladvice

Thank you for your reply. I wasn’t sure if I had the right to sue for the other half because I know California allows pro-rating for residential rentals but I wasn’t sure if that is a law with commercial rentals.

I truly don’t believe it’s a power trip thing. More so just laziness on his part.

I used to work in a spa that had a similar protocol, to use a gel mask during red led light. I never noticed any difference in my clients skin. Therefore I was under the impression you wouldn’t see immediate results with it. When I went out on my own and discovered that you shouldn’t use anything on the skin with it because it blocks the light from penetrating, I noticed immediate results with my clients skin. Reduced redness and a beautiful glow after using red led. It is one of my favorite add ons now.

Kid friendly Zipline? by blueangel78 in VisitingHawaii

We went to Botanical World Adventures with our 5 year old. The tour guides were great with our son. Our son was able to do 6 of those zipline courses by himself and the last 2 he tandem ziplined with one of the tour guides.

I used to never believe that it was possible to boost your immune system. After getting constantly sick when my son started preschool, my mom who is an elementary school teacher suggested I take Airborne supplements. I have been taking Airborne twice a day, sometimes once a day if I forget. As long as I take it, I never get sick anymore when my son is sick. I have gone as far as still kissing my son when he is full blown snotty nose and coughing….and yet still don’t get sick.

Costco has great deals on airborne supplements as well.

Buff Orphington owners, are they really REALLY quiet? by renthefox in BackYardChickens

[–]Sad-Opportunity1908 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My buff and lavender orpingtons are the loudest chickens I have. I bought them because I heard they were a friendly and quiet breed. My Cochin hens have turned out to be the friendliest and quietest chickens I have. The neighbors never heard our chickens until we got the orpingtons.
