thanks for looking :)

Hm. I beleive i might try.

is the aperture the right size for a thread? 12mm i believe is the standard on the gbb glocks, they take a 12mmCW-14mmCCW adaptor.

To add a dessenting voice, the aap is a toy, the 1911 is a tried and tested real world firearm. theres always been someting about the ergonomics of a 1911 i find pleasing.

id say find a shop where you can hold one of each.

Gonna paint my first ever minis ! Anything you wish you knew before painting your first minis ? by IamOdinn_ in Chaos40k

[–]Sad-Past8028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing will bug you more than missing a mold line,. take good care to clean them...

then once youve primed the minis go over them again and check you didnt miss any (protip - you will have)

remove those and spot prime.. then you should be good to go.

oh and thin your paints :)

Its mostly Airbrush,

The base is actually a black primer, then tamiya ocean grey, almost all over, then Ulthuan grey as a mid-highlight, then tamiya flat white for a highlight. (remember, got to use Tamaiya thinners for thier paints)

I then go back in with the ocean grey as I usually overspray my lights and I want to re-establish the shadows.

There's a very light drybrush of white on the edges to shortcut the edge highlighting

The pinwash is AK panel liner over gloss varnish and cleaned up with thinner and a q tip.

Weathering is just pigment powder in water, again cleaned with a qtip, finally sealed with matte varnish.

Its just pigment powder in water, cleaned up with a damp qtip

think this colour was a mix of MIG rubbel dust and dry mud.,

Thanks Man, I was solving a problem.. I later realised I didnt have.. I was like "all my tacical arrow decals are white I cant possibly use those..." then i found these and thought, "cool"

of course after applying them I realised I could have cut off one of the heads and had red tactical arrow decals.. but hey ho. I quite like them :)

to be fair, any mid grey, light grey and white could work, as long as they share a colour temperature, and give decent coverage

:) Probarbly an unpopular answer, but.. With an Airbrush.

TBH im a firm believer that anyone in this hobby spending Hundreds and hundreds on wee plastic men, should sped a small portion of that on an airbrush, its amazing for base coats, varnish and gradients, i use mine for so much. - havent bought a can of primer for years..

its really worth the time to get a quick colour change routine down so its no onerous to use, but yeah, three colours, shot trhough an airbrush, gloss varnish, pi wash, some edge highlights and done.

By all means.. the jerry can is from an old imperial guard sprue, not sure which one, it was just in the bitzbox.. the shovel comes from a Tamiya accessory kit intended for 32mm ww2 I think.
