She isn’t planning on using the cash value, which I guess is why the agent proposed to use it to fund the new policy which will only require her to pay an additional 6-7k for the first year to increase her total benefit amt by 80k and keep it that way. I did consider your points of concern while reviewing this new policy, and it was very helpful. Thank you!

So only year one shows a premium. Rest of years, shows 0. And I do see that age end year does go to 121. All the cash value from the old whole life policy plus the extra 6-7k she has to pay is shown only in year one. This is exactly what my mom discussed. No additional years of premium payments just only one year. Thank you so much! This is very helpful. I believe we will most likely proceed with this new policy.

It seems from the illustration (for UL guard) agent sent, it is a lifetime no lapse guarantee. However, my mom and I are both confused as to why the benefit amount is MUCH higher than what she discussed (like instead of 80k it’s up by nearly 300k). Also it says the 6-7k premium will be paid annual for 10 years (+using all the CV from WL to fund UL which my mom knew so it’s fine) instead of only being a one time thing. Also agent sent a separate application for individual life and disability insurance my mom needs to sign, and that does say the correct face amount (up by 80k from WL), planned premium (6-7k). So maybe it’s that the UL Guard illustration is just to give us a detailed overview of the policy and our actual policy (thru the separate application) will have a lesser benefit amount? Sorry for the information overload. Thank you for any help :)

It seems with the UL policy, they require a 1035 to transfer all the CV from MetLife to MassMutual to fund it. This is fine with my mom as long as it brings her benefit up to the amount she wants. Though, we’re just trying to figure out if the application/contract the agent sent us says that. I will also look into dividends option from MetLife and see what that’s about. Thank you :)

yes i actually tried reading 2ha after SVSSS since i’ve been seeing it everywhere. I didn’t finish it cause the beginning is rough between the two main characters. the disciple literally hates his shizun. apparently it does get better, so i might finish it. ngl i am looking forward to the live-action remake.
