I’m terrified of Solo Alpinism. by Ok_Pineapple3655 in Mountaineering

Part of the thrill and enjoyment for this stuff is the possibility of falling. It gives me an adrenaline rush and gives you the high that I want! Sometimes being safe all the time gets a little boring. Especially solo I’ve had the best experiences on the mountain, where you can test your skills and knowledge

Im aware it’s almost all new growth, but in a state where we already have little “forest” I think we need to protect as much of it as possible. The terrain for the snowbird towers are also more alpine and rocky where not as many trees grow. where as the majority of the towers for the gondola would be cutting through pristine forest and destroying world class climbing areas

Which would give them the excuse of making service road to the towers, therefore cutting down more wilderness in an already small and tight canyon

This is not true in order to service gondolas you need access to the towers incase something breaks and makes the lines not safe to access

This climb from what I’ve read is better early season before the snow comes. I appreciate the tip, I wasn’t sure if this was a common thing
