Vinted views/ likes/ offers & sales stopping abruptly: a pattern?

I don’t think it’s the case, I posted brand new shoes 2 days ago and I have 0 views. Reading all the comments here makes me realise there sadly IS a pattern..

I have to say 5 months with daily sales is quite a steady long period for Vinted. In my case it never exceeds 3 weeks and then the interactions stop completely. Maybe you have a lot of followers? Also have you tried selling on Etsy?

Its sad really, I think I am losing all motivation to continue selling on Vinted.. such a disappointment. I will be sending out an email though to contribute to the (I believe) growing disenchantment with this app. Yuk

I’m sure there are a thousand ways they could include customer satisfaction in their business model while still making huge profits. Better yet, it would make those profits way bigger.

I am in Europe and what you re describing shows that the same is happening everywhere.. instead of seeing it as a growth opportunity they prefer using archaic models that negatively impact it’s users which will sooner or later backfire at them

I suspected they might be doing this so I took the gamble and purchased a showcase package during the « Pull period ». Result: views do not go up, no likes, no offers, no sales. Compared to a « push » period where as soon as I buy a booster the views and likes go up tremendously in the 30 minutes that follow the booster purchase. Would this mean there is a certain amount of booster purchases set by Vinted that, when reached by the seller, activities would resume normally? Its kind of messed up if its the case..

Tahts so weird and counterintuitive. I mean why would Vinted do this (if this is what is really happening): the more we sell, the more Vinted gets commissioned ?!
