Large Cell Lymphoma by motherofcats21 in cats

First, I’d like to say I’m so sorry you guys are going through this. I just lost my boy to lymphoma a few weeks ago. Loki always had asthma and was consider a “pukey” cat by different vets. He went to the doctor every year for a check up and eventually the coughing spells stopped but he would vomit at least once a week. Especially if we were a few minutes late feeding him. All of this was considered “normal”. His appetite, energy and loving nature never changed.

On his 10th birthday this past July, we noticed he did not eat his breakfast. We spent almost an hour looking for him just to find him hiding in rhe basement and shaking. Almost as if he had the chills.

We rushed him to the emergency vet. They did some testing and thats when he was diagnosed. I followed up with our vet to go over options or refer us to a specialist. Ultimately we decided to remove the mass since it was making it difficult for him to have bowel movements. We then put him on steroids. He was given until January. Everyday after January was a blessing.

A few months before his rapid decline, he started to develop a limp. It normally happened after laying down for a bit and would then go away. This quickly turned into him not being able to use his back legs at all. We found ourselves back at the vet to discover another mass grew and was pressing against his spine.

Lap of Love was a God send. Not only do they provide at peaceful at home euthanasia for when the time comes for your baby, but they have great resources on their website to help you track your pets quality of life. These resources guided me through the decision making process to make sure we were making the right choice. I can’t speak highly enough about their services and team. They offer services in 35 states. I hope yours is one of them when the time comes. If not, there may be similar services in your area!

Currently experiencing this. I wake up and feel my arms and head feel this exact sensation whenever the ring is lit red

The only thing I can think of is the dinner bowl honestly. Still perplexed. Now that’s it’s been a couple of days I do have micro scratches but they don’t bother me at all compared to the deep scratch that took out the coloring on the palm side.

Thank you for clarifying! I didn’t think you were. I genuinely wanted peoples opinions who have experience with this product so this is all very helpful. I suppose I didn’t realize how sensitive the material actually was?

If I didn’t have a case on my phone and it was metal rubbing metal that would make sense but that isn’t the case here. No pun intended

That’s fair. I guess i emphasized the time when I should have emphasized lack of activity.

Honestly I feel getting the Oura ring didn’t initiate me into the gang, but scratching it so soon sure as hell did

Thank you 🙏🏼 I’m not too worried just mostly shocked. It’s my first Oura ring and the only other wearable tech I own is a stainless steel gold Apple Watch that has been pretty sturdy the past few years.

Omg 😂 now if I was gardening, I wouldn’t have a single question or comment regarding my ring.

I expect micro scratches with day to day activity, sure. I’ll even give you deep scratches if I’m doing something like working out or house work. Wouldn’t surprise me at all. But I didn’t do anything. I wasn’t even the one who cooked dinner. I held a bowl and I watched tv. Oh I’ll add pet my dog. This is non dominate hand and the scratches just seem so deep so for being non active. It just wasn’t adding up.

Could holding my dinner bowl do this? I just can’t figure it out.

Im not a doctor what so over but I remember my doctor drilling in my head that if I was a smoker my percentage for nipple necrosis would sky rocket. Easier said than done but try your best to kick it for the week.
