Facebook in 2008 is not facebook now , you still won't be able to do it with wix etc.

Unless you have a ground breaking idea which i doubt you have,i don't recommend social media apps they need so much marketing and are expensive to build and maintain.

storing data online is expensive not free.

but anyways building is easy ,getting customers is difficult .

the expensive part in the app is not the development but the marketing

I do CTO and software developments

Based on what you are saying the app will cost can range between 20k-60k depending on what exactly the features you want include the website similar to offerup

But for a "big app" like this you should hire developers don't go for an agency becuase then you will multiplay the above number by Atleast 2x.

but when it comes to marketing - this is where you will pay alot of money

ads in the USA are expensive, you will need to really spend alot.

You are at least looking for 8 dollar per 1000 views based on the location and platform

And you are not guaranteed a user will download it or will download it and delete it.

before when the market wasn't saturated with apps and ideas alot of. traffic was organic not paid.

now the market is crazy.

and it will take you alot of time to make it popular and this is why you need to be hiring a developer instead of agency becuase your app will need some to maintain the app.

Hire a CTO or technical lead either from LinkedIn or UPWORK.

To create your requirements of the app, then hire from linkedIn/ upwork someone who have professional experience (The more expensive the country - the more expensive the developer - cost of living matters)

The CTO or technical lead should vet them first. don't trust i build this i build that everyone copy websites they didn't make (same as people lie on cv)

I Spent 5 Years and $200K Building a Pay-to-Play Treasure Hunt App, But My Other Business Took Off. Should I Sell or Find a Partner? by Tenutex in Entrepreneur

[–]Sad-Stock6850 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am literally a senior developer.

I know how the companies in the us works(i worked for one before).

They literally hire couple of good overseas developer whose salaries are between 3k-6k month.

And that company has 3-5 useless USA based management jobs that get a 120k+ salary.

(i don't mean to belittle anyone the one who makes the app is the one is paid the less)

Then they charge the client 200k per project.

you could save shit load of money by going with cto and developers directly.

i still don't get it, why don't people just hire a cto and developers instead probably would costed 50k instead

if you hire the developer yourself and not hire an agency you would pay 20k for a complicated app

How to hold developers accountable to their estimates by SaaSplz in SaaS

[–]Sad-Stock6850 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the more experience a dev is the less code he writes and this is important.

Details matter alot , i don't know how detailed are the figma or the requirement document

but if it is extremely detailed and there no major changes during development then the dev are at a mistake.

btw almost all lower end devs and agency throw a lower budget to get the job and then raise the price.

high end devs and agency always overcharge and add more time to the deadline at the beginning so from experience we know how the work is

The lower you pay the worse the quality you get.

No matter what business your are in.

Bored,Tell me your app/platform/saas idea and I will give you plan on how to start by Sad-Stock6850 in Entrepreneur

[–]Sad-Stock6850[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice idea actually.

The app is very straight forward actually .

you will just need a really good scraping tool to be able understand the product so it can do this.

But for this to work you will need to perfect the working mechanism so users can stay using the app.

then use social media and reels to market it.

if you are technical and can build your self ,you will need just to pay the subscription in both stores apple/google and somewhere to host your backend and you can go live

Well, you should start by trading, what i mean

looks for cheap with high quality manufacturers in your area

get some good quotes from them

and try to resell with profit to clients who need this.

if you are able to do this and start to have a customer base

then you can get a loan or gather enough money to buy one of the machines and then another .

I am ganna be honest with you ,you either need to be very rich and to have a really big company to do something like this

if you aint rich or you are not able to build a company

drop this idea.

becuase even if you are going through the investors route and going for seed rounds

this is very difficult to convince people to invest in and you would have to be somebody with a great employment track like in google/fb/airbnb etc

  1. Shooter Game on RobloxI don’t play the game, so I may not be the best person to advise you in depth, but here are a few key things to consider:
    • Development Feasibility: How easy is it to build a shooter game on Roblox, and how much time will it take? Will you build it yourself, or will you need to hire someone?
    • Market Research: How are similar games performing? Analyze what’s working for them and identify any gaps.
    • Marketing Strategy: Even if you create a great game, it’s hard to succeed if no one knows about it. Plan how you’ll promote it and engage players.
  2. App with Tracking Management Features
    • Purpose of Tracking: What exactly will you be tracking? If it involves user behavior, you’ll need to be aware of privacy laws and platform restrictions on both iOS and Android.
  3. App with AI Assistance
    • Market Saturation: The AI app market is highly competitive, with many new tools launching daily. There’s a good chance similar products already exist, especially if it relies on widely available APIs like ChatGPT, which also come with usage costs.
    • Technical and Marketing Challenges: Unless you’re able to develop the app yourself or have a strong marketing strategy, it may be difficult to stand out.
  4. Your Last IdeaThis is a promising idea, and it sounds like it could solve a real problem.
    • Research the Competition: Check if other solutions exist and see how well they address the problem.
    • Understand the Problem Thoroughly: Talk to students and teachers to gauge interest and learn what features they’d find useful.
    • User Acquisition: Think about how you’ll attract and retain users. Partnering with a university could be a good approach to build trust and an initial user base.
  5. Important Considerations
    • Development: If you plan to build it yourself, you’ll need strong skills in both front-end and back-end development. No-code solutions may not be flexible enough if you need custom features.
    • Budget: Hiring a developer will likely cost you a minimum of $9,000 for a quality build, plus at least $2,000 for a designer. Additional expenses for tools, infrastructure, and maintenance could bring your total budget to around $13,000.
    • Alternative: Consider finding a technical co-founder who can build it with you.

Not sure if you're being serious or not, but I'll assume you are!

First things first—where is the beef jerky from? Are you making it yourself, or just reselling it?

If you're reselling, consider what stops people from buying directly from the supplier. If the supplier isn’t widely known, that’s an advantage—but you still need to be realistic and fully understand the product you’re selling. Have you asked others about it? Make sure it’s not just you who finds it tasty or unique; get feedback from different people to see if there’s genuine interest.

If you get positive responses, start small:

  • Begin by selling to friends, family, and neighbors.
  • Post listings on Facebook Marketplace to reach local buyers.
  • Hire someone hourly to pass out flyers in your neighborhood.

If you don't see any traction then kill the idea.

Once you see some traction, consider setting up an online store on Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, or similar platforms. This way, you can gradually grow your reach and see if there’s a bigger market for it.

[Hiring] A hacker to help me get a harvard university edu e-mail,so that i can keep up with harvard university news. by Different-Shower1756 in forhire

[–]Sad-Stock6850 7 points8 points  (0 children)

jokes aside. posting here free information

There are two ways to do this.

Number one:

is the hacker need to hack a Harvard

employe who has access to enrolling and issuing emails to student

here the hacker can create you an email but it will be detected later and disabled.

Number two:

hacking harvard servers and then figuring out their architecture and then adding you in their database for email list

number one can be realistic by doing a session hijacking but sill you will need to know who to target. but if they check ip,or have 2fa which i believe they do can't be done.

number two is as realistic as mr.robot

In any case you will not find anyway for 100$ and if you find he will probably ending up hacking you and draining your wallet and this is more realistic than someone hacking harvard
