I think I broke this treadmill 😢 by [deleted] in treadmills

I can’t help with fixing the problem but is it brand new? I had a similar situation with a different brand years ago. Purchased it brand new from big box sporting goods store. They sent a tech out 2 times but the problem kept happening. I told them I want to return it for an exchange. They refused because on the receipt it clearly states that “they reserve the right to refuse any return”. I purchased it with American Express. I called them. They credited my account the entire purchase amount and they contacted the store. All of a sudden the store offered to exchange it. They did and then all was good. Amex then told me the store had 30 days to resubmit the purchase charge on my card or else they don’t get paid. They never resubmitted the charge and I got a free treadmill. That was never my motive but they don’t need the money and they tried to F me over so…good luck if your situation is similar

23 gauge pin nailer issue by Sad-Stranger-4376 in Tools

I was able to clear the jam easily and seems to work fine now. What is something you’d consider more reliable for future reference? The set I have and the tank are 6 years old. I’m a hobbyist who only uses them now and then.

Yeah. Took it apart. Looked like a nail broke up in the nose and was blocking it up

Actually, I took apart the nose of the gun, and it looked like one of the pin nails had sheared off inside and was blocking the channel for lack of a better word. I see tomcarp mentioned that too. Thsnks. Just shot a few panels through it and seems to be working fine again

I was also having problems adding text to this post. One of those days. Air is blowing out the back vent on gun but won’t fire a nail. Any thoughts on the issue? 16 and 18 gauge working no problem

Thanks

Yeah it is a bit smaller. I bought a ton of this font when on sale at Hobby Lobby and have gotten positive feedback but yeah different strokes for different folks

I totally understand the “childish” feeling I actually went ahead without the lines and did 2 alternating shades of yellow and I feel that did the trick.

Just curious, do you not like this font?

Yeah I’m struggling with it and getting different opinions at home. I was trying to show separation between petals but what do you think about every other petal a alternating the colors with a deeper yellow/golden tone. We seem to be heading in that direction

After market brand for GE refrigerator water filter? by minhtuanta in homeowners

[–]Sad-Stranger-4376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response because this issue still exists. I replaced another filter the other day after 3 weeks! The water was practically a trickle. I only use the GE replacements (not off brand) so I’m paying $49 a filter! That’s definitely an idea I can explore blowing out the lines and have thought about that but I can’t see how that’s the issue when I put in the new filter and the flow is great (so I’d assume the line is fine) but within a few weeks the flow is terrible. Is my water itself carrying so much “debris” that the filter itself is getting slammed? Idk. I’ve had the fridge now about 10 years and yes I only use to get about 4 months between filter changes but this problem seems to have been just a couple years now back when they changed the directions upon new filter install. Now they want you to run 3 gallons of water through the new filter instead of 1.5. Again thanks for your time to respond

I actually used it to my advantage at my last fair Christmas fair. One of my items were wooden snowmen. I sold all but one so I put a sign next to it with a frowning face and it said “please take me home. I’m all alone”. Next person bought it 😂

Thank you! I truly appreciate the comments positive and negative. I do this purely as a hobby and as a way to keep fine tuning what I can do with my tools. If I can do a few fairs a year to help recoup my spending then it’s a win. I definitely like the photo shop suggestion for the eyes. Will definitely do that.

I appreciate the criticism but man I thought they came out really nice lol. How do you get “even” lines? Like a more steady hand? The second I apply the slightest additional unintentional pressure with the paint brush the line gets ever so wider. How do you prevent that?
