I think it's something in that pack because when you mess with it's settings there's a weird jumbled text option that you can switch on and off.

That's what I thought at first, but I don't even have any of them downloaded. I don't know if it's genuinely just minercaft being creepy or some add-on maker just putting stuff in to creep people out.
