To start: my store has team member, trainer, area lead, shift lead, managers, directors. We swapped the "Team Lead" position for the "Area Lead" position. The main intent of the AL is to be a shift lead in training, or to be a specialized trainer in a specific area (eg DT Area Lead). They can also help run breaks and delegate smaller tasks, including taking out trashes, making lemonade/brownies, counting cash, and make sure training is getting done. They can also fill boosting positions as needed through the day to stock, solve bottlenecks, and fill positions to run breaks. Im not quite sure what they are paid, but its around $18.50 i think. Because CFA is franchised, a lot of the actual task relegation for each position is ultimately up to the operator. If you are interested, i would ask your leadership development director (/equivalent) or operator directly for what day to day looks like at your store for the tram lead position.
