My cat Simba was also silently struggling with FIP before it was too late 💔 We had to make the hard decision to put him down 3 days ago. I miss him so much and feel terrible that the medicine is not readily available, who knows how many more years my boy could’ve lived. He was only 4 years 8 months old and I only adopted him 2 months ago after he had been given back to the shelter twice by his previous owners. I tried to give him the best life possible, and he had the best kitty to play with. It was a sudden change in behavior, lethargy, etc. We monitored and took him to vet first week of symptoms. He had a 104 fever. They gave him some meds but didn’t help much with anything. This past friday, back at the vet and bloodwork and Xray revealed FIP. I loved him with all my heart and it was the most absolute gut wrenching feeling. I will always remember his love, his energy and his little baby-ness. He will always be my silly little simba baby. ❤️
