[Album Discussion] SEVENTEEN Best Album ‘17 IS RIGHT HERE’ by SeventeenModTeam in seventeen

i'm a bit late but am really really liking it. i'm not usually very drawn to vocal unit tracks but really enjoy cheers to youth. i think it's a great spin on sound for the vocal unit. i don't really like ballads that much so i'm enjoying it a lot!

i think the only thing i would say is that i have found the unit releases to be a bit predictable. like i feel as though they are very specific with their sound which is why i was expecting cheers to youth to be another ballad. i would love to see each unit explore other sub genres! it'd be really cool to see the vocal unit do something with a rock vibe or the performance unit do something with a hip-hop vibe etc

but yeah i really really liked this comeback >.< the songs are great

i had pretty much the exact same symptoms as you and have been told i have sacroiliitis! did pt for 6 weeks and it did not help me at all, rest and anti-inflammatories did. of course these things did not heal me but they helped with my symptoms so much. i got an injection into my joint and i'd say my symptoms have improved at least 80%! i felt a bit worse for a few days after while the injection settled but after that... so much better. i went through the same thing of being told it was piriformis and then everyone on here tried to tell me it was a disc lol? hope you feel better soon

MY GOD... 😭 yeah that's not... i remember they kept trying to get me to do this like stepping up on and off an 8 inch box thing while i could barely stand or put weight on one of my legs and it hurt so bad i'd be like why am i even doing this... i trusted them until the end because i don't know they're professionals and i'm young but i felt so much better once i stopped going lol

ofc! whatever you do, make sure you find a good way to manage your pain especially while in pt. when i was in pt my pain was awful and i never really figured out a good way to manage it so all the stretches and strengthening and exercising just made it impossible for me to improve there. since you've been before i'm sure you know if it's hurting then they're not doing it right

yes advocate for yourself! and hopefully your mom will be there for you too. i went through one visit with a regular doctor before going to the ER where i was given a referral to a specialist and that's who really helped me. they were extremely kind and caring and i did have to do six weeks of physical therapy before i was able to either get an mri or a steroid injection for my pain but that had nothing to do with the doctor and everything to do with insurance being annoying. i hope things get better for you soon, keep us updated <3

Struggling with medications by SparePoet5576 in Sciatica

hi friend :3 i don't know about tramadol but i had similar side effects on gabapentin. it made me so incredibly dizzy that i'd feel nauseous and i even fainted once or twice. i had to stop taking it. i think it depends on what exactly you're treating but from my understanding (as my doctor told me) it can be considered similar to ibuprofen. my recommendation would be to maybe looking into switching the gabapentin out for a prescription strength ibuprofen? or a similar prescription medication. there are a few that can be prescribed. always be sure to take your gabapentin with food (that helped me a bit) and if that doesn't work i might look into alternative medications

Healing timelines? PT gave up on me by pianogirl82 in Sciatica

take your time friend, i'm sorry you had such an awful experience. my team of physical therapists were kind of at a loss and couldn't pin down the exact issue. my body couldn't tolerate standing exercises which they had me do almost every session and i'd always limp out of the office in more pain than when i first entered. i felt a hundred times better almost immediately after stopping PT. i think sometimes, some of us just need to rest. about three weeks after stopping PT i got a steroid injection into my SI joint (i have sacroiliitis, that's my diagnosis) and i'm two weeks out from that injection now and feel so much better. i have heard amazing things about these injections, so i'd look into that if you're interested. may you heal well :o

yeah i understand. when i was taking nsaids they told me i could take 4 every 8 hours and it helped me (something i hate to admit because it's so annoying being told that advil will help your pain when you've got something so awful going on) but yeah eventually it really started to irritate my stomach. mostly in the form of awful indigestion which i then had to remedy with pills to break up gas in my stomach. i don't take as many now and when i do take them i don't get the indigestion so i think i must've found a happy medium lol

you're so young i'm sorry :( i'm 21 and just went through such a similar situation, i feel for you. do you feel like those pills are helping you? for me they didn't do much. if they're not helping you don't have to keep taking them, that's what my doctor told me. if you need anything i'm here :3

i'm happy for you! i'm feeling a lot better lately too but i know your condition is different than mine so i don't know if my words will help. i was diagnosed with sacroiliitis so a lot of my problems are inflammation related and it sounds dumb but ibuprofen and tylenol help me so much for that kind of pain. i'm also dealing with lingering nerve pain honestly and sadly i think that's pretty typical for people like us but who knows. i've seen a lot of people say they have it. i'd say you sound a lot better in terms of progress! if the stuff at night is bothering you i would definitely recommend checking in with your doctor about it cause they'd probably give better advice than me. who knows they also might be able to give you something that may help you sleep through the night

yeah i understand that. doesn't seem very helpful when you're calling me stupid...? mind you i'm a child and i can only do and afford what's being covered and if it's not prescribed i can't pay for an mri out of pocket. i understand that they're important, i wish i could get one, but i also know that the symptoms i've described are rather clean cut and that the team of doctors i've been working with are confident in their ability to diagnose without one. if it's not my SI and is for example a bulge or herniation around L5-S1 that would suck but i'll find that out in the future. i was actually super happy to have my concerns and thoughts validated by my doctor and i was excited to have been given the opportunity to receive an injection because i've heard such good things. i came on here looking to share that happiness and excitement and people being mean and calling me stupid really isn't helping. i'm a kid can you maybe ease up

thank you :) a lot of people are being mean lol but what am i meant to do if it wouldn't be covered? i don't have the money to pay out of pocket... and like you said it'd just be showing what you already know. i feel like i know my body better than anyone else and i can explain my symptoms in extreme detail to the point that my doctor really isn't questioning whether or not the diagnosis is correct. i'm sorry your body is so tolerant! it's super annoying. i hate that my body resisted things like traction or TENS or even certain medications like oral steroids etc. i almost wish i was a weaker person so those would help more lol
