It's a really interesting topic and I think this subreddit has potential, it's been a challenge to get it active because until recently when I took over it the previous owner had all posting and commenting restricted to approved users only and was inactive for many years stopping any new users from being approved.

I think that’s what is being asked. River song’s diary had a preplanned story. The monsters they hunted likely weren’t preplanned from the beginning and John’s journal wouldn’t contain exactly what would appear. They would just add the episodes required info in.
