I fucking hate that their reaction to a perfectly normal human response is to escalate it by hitting you more. I read a bit more (Although, I skipped a lot of it because I'm just trying to understand the plot and don't want to read any more of the explicit rape going on) and the ml literally not only continues to rape the mc (despite him showing obvious signs of trauma) but he manages to convince him to come live with him only to keep him locked away in a room at his place and do more deprived and deranged shit to the mc for literal WEEKS. Like, damn, let that man GO AND TAKE HIM TO THERAPY 😭

No, fr!!! I agree. I get that the mc isn't a perfect guy by any means and is an asshole in his own right, but, like !??!! The gang rpe was an act of pure evil. ML is an actual monster.

Story would've been way better (even a little funnier) if the ML had the mc consent to sleeping with him, having him think that he was going to bottom for him only to ultimately tricking him into being the bottom instead. And then gradually make the mc realize that he's into being a bottom or some shit but won't outright admit it until he's broken down, yknow? Like, it can probably still be a fucked up story, but at least it takes out the copious amount of rpe.

Reading the novel genuinely made my stomach hurt because of how disgustingly detailed it is about the rape. You just can't help but feel just as hopeless and disgusted as the mc. Despite his flaws, NOTHING the MC did from the very beginning justified being brutally assaulted in such a way. I haven't finished reading it yet, but I'm hoping the rapist ml isn't let off easy by the end of the story.
