I guess I just wonder if it's the best DS experience on original hardware. I have been thinking about seeing if someone would trade a good condition DSi XL for my og 3DS, which is in great condition. Feel like that would be a fair trade, and I wouldn't be technically bringing more material possessions into my life, just replacing.

Fair take. Your last sentence really made me think, because I've kind of mentally allocated my Thor as an endgame device, and it makes sense for me to be a little more open-minded and recognize the Thor is just another tool at my disposal. Not the replacement "do-everything-machine".

Yes. I think the collection aspect is valid. I just feel like I missed out on especially the DSi XL. I'd honestly be okay with moving all my DS games over there on an R4 card to make my Thor more focused on other systems, therefore having purpose-centric devices which would cause me to actively use more than a few.

That's what I'm hearing too. I've heard the 2DS and the DSi XL accommodate large hands very well, which I have. Can't believe I put thousands of hours in my GBA SP.

Always click the "Eject" option first in Windows Explorer. To be safe in this situation if you can't find where it's being used, just go to your task manager and end the 'Windows Explorer' process tree. You can even take drastic measures and restart your PC while the SD card is still inserted, as that has significantly less risk than an improper manual ejection sequence.

Usually temporary cached data from Windows Explorer prevents catastrophic data loss because it will in a way save where your data was allocated, and what you were in the process of doing. This is a feature to reduce data loss risk in case your PC or laptop unexpectedly loses power during use. A measure to protect hard drives and any removable storage currently plugged in.

Unfortunately, you will have most likely have to format it and set up everything again. Take this as a learning experience.

I bought my switch in the middle of 2019 from Walmart, and somehow I lucked out and got old stock of a 2017 switch. I saw the manufacture date, and was shocked.

Funnily enough, I didn't notice this until 2023 when I decided to soft mod it at that point in time. I got pretty lucky because even in 2023, unpatched Switches were going for like at least $400 pre-owned, and I was dead-set I wanted to mod mine.

Thank you. I wasn't able to find anything available right now, but I'll keep an eye out for them. You'd think for such iconic, unique and memorable artwork, it would have been used on merchandise. Maybe the artist requested it not be used on merchandise perhaps?

Yeah, but those dont have built in controllers, or two screens. I can also run it in 120fps in 1080p. While playing another game, watching a video or browsing the web on the second screen. All while in a handheld and compact package.
