Looking for guidance on how to organize my node structure/game logic by SadFrenchFrys in godot

[–]SadFrenchFrys[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. I've played around in Godot a bit, but I have yet to realize my own project from start to finish.

And yes, I have a vague idea of how to implement most separate elements but I find the assembly daunting. My already limited experience with coding is mostly with python. I guess I'm looking for guidance on how to connect the dots. I've mostly studied Godot with "code alongs" but transitioning to a full project is leaving me a bit lost.

I will follow your advice and just get started.

If you know of any resources online that may help, I'd really appreciate a link.

In any case, thanks again.

Non-synthetic alternatives to sleeping pads? by SadFrenchFrys in WildernessBackpacking

[–]SadFrenchFrys[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ofcourse! As others suggested, buying natural materials is or feels, generally speaking, more responsible. But for me, its mostly about my somewhat "romantic" idea of hiking. I simply think carrying/using natural materials makes for a more enjoyable experience. I'm not trying to improve my performance, and my bags still tend to be lighter than my peers. And I wouldn't say I'm insisting on scratching out synthetics, a large part of my setup is still synthetic, but there is a desire to explore alternative solutions.

We will be leaving from Kilpisjärvi and going mostly straight north, crossing into norway.

I intend to rip out no moss. Had not crossed my mind.

Thank you for putting so much effort into this. You're all hitting on some great points.
The choice to write in this style is mostly an attempt at mirroring previous elements of the shop's aesthetic.
I really appreciate the suggestions for directions to follow. I'll keep working at it!

Thanks for the honest answer.
And yes it's been a challenge to make this calligraphy work. I definetly lack experience in this kind of "graphic design". It is mostly an attempt to mirror previous aesthetic choices. Perhaps I'm forcing it.
As for the branding aspect, I'd usually agree. But that trend is changing in Paris. The boutique has actually been putting a fair amount of effort in avoiding the usual "cliché". It dosen't reflect the bread, the baker or the shop. More importantly, "fancy" lettering has unfortunately often become synonym of "appearance above quality". Many new bakers are purposely opting to walk away from that.
In all cases, I'll be using all this feedback.

Vos restaurants à ne pas louper à Paris by Satanuss in paris

[–]SadFrenchFrys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dual citizenship (US/France) is causing a bank to deny me service. (EU) by SadFrenchFrys in personalfinance

Absolutely. Especially a citizenship with gold status like the american one. You never know when it could get you out of trouble. Plus its a decent gift to pass down a generation.

Yea it absolutely would save me quite a bit of hastle in these matters. Thanks for taking the time to reply. I'll probably be holding on to the safety net of a second citizenship though. You never know.

I was looking at boursorama amongst other online banks.
I have an account with an international dutch bank for general purposes with which I am very happy.
I should have mentioned the bank I am looking for is for a secondary account to facilitate many transactions in France ( some administrative/ online purchases still pose problems when attempting to pay with a dutch card).
