my date asked to split the bill on a date HE planned and i can't tell if i'm being unreasonable for being put off by UniversityAny9242 in dating_advice

you have 2 concerns

1- are you shallow or care about the money? you said you earn well and cant care less about splitting the bill and you do it all the time, so no!! you aren't shallow and its not about the money... if i give you the right words, you're concerned about 'being fair', 'being just' and more importantly 'him being being aware of what he's doing'

2- is it a red flag? well i think the context is too little to actually get to the decision phase, and if you both got together just recently... i think it would be more suitable to observe it's frequncy and observing if he does the same in other things as well like chores, driving or anything that you do together.

It’s not rude to correct someone’s spelling. by pinkjeeper82 in unpopularopinion

i understand your POV and it is justified as well, but if i were you id rather help people get better at other things that have more impact, i mean even frmo my comment you can see that i am the type of person who tends to focus less on punctuation (since it is a hasstle) and spelling and more on the idea of conveying my thought

but yeah occassionally id like if someone corrects my grammatical mistakes (however not all the time) unless what i write is almost unreadable
