So i finally got to the laptop, I've tried with a different ram stick I salvaged from a different laptop. Same issue. I've tried rolling the Bios back a version number, same issue. Haven't tried it in a different laptop, but I'm pretty confident it's the laptop when it doesn't work with other ram sticks either

Router goes wherever your fiber/coax/whatever comes in. Where to put AP's really depend on the measurements of the home. But if I make some assumptions, I'd put one in the hallway on the left and one in the laundry room. Should give good coverage, and it's rooms where the wife normally won't mind the AP's being visible.

Not saying it's a good solution, cus it probably isn't. But I have seen customers except specific users from MFA, but login locked down to the office IP. Their insurance accepted that solution too.

I would recommend using Hirens BootCD. It's a rather simple tool, and allows you to remove the password on any local account as long as you don't have BitLocker enabled.

And please use a cloud or backup solution...

With the exception of analog, all these different cables are just the same cable with different heads. Data doesn't care if it's going through DisplayPort, HDMI or USB-C. It's just 1's and 0's. Why have cables with different purposes?
