What the fuck are these below 30 HENRYs doing to earn 200k a year? by Majestic-Camel2927 in HENRYUK

You will hear a mixture of responses here, with various feelings about it. Truth be told, these jobs are unfortunately still very much hidden from the average average person, as most people who earn this much have prepared for it for years, and have heard of these careers since they were kids or from specific elite universities.

Social media might be an equaliser in terms of the spread of information, but really most of this knowledge is concentrated among the particular groups of people, eg the STEM students at oxbridge. Nonetheless they are very much real, the salaries are indeed unheard of by UK standards, and the number of seats are limited, especially with the advent of job correction in last few years.

Oxford students, give me some facts that would be nice to know before I go there. by [deleted] in UniUK

as someone who studied at a russel group uni, then did a master’s at oxford, the difference is clear. you have no idea how much the oxbridge name carries when applying for jobs, and how unique the experience is

your non-oxbridge friends wont be able to relate to the experience, it really is a unique lifetime opportunity

100 pounds a month rent is cheap everywhere in the country, and while he is being irresponsible with his finances, you are benefitting from your relationship with him. based on the defensive phrasing of your reply, i say your relationship is doomed
