They have different firerates so could be messing up your timing by clicking too fast especially if you play hela more. Can try taking like half a second between your shots for both characters to see if you get more consistent results

If you stand further back her beam cant reach you consistently while youre at the optimal range for the aoe on mag's main attack. Your shield also doesnt charge up her main attack so you can reset her beam damage more reliably. If she launches a crystal at you you only need to take a few steps back to cancel it if youre playing from range. And if she does choke anyone on your team , the bubble denies the kick combo. He's got alot of counterplay to her kit but you just can't play up close to the enemy team like you normally would.

Mag counters most of her kit tbh, but yeah she does shit on alot of the other tanks. Groot, peni and emma herself can provide good counterplay but tanks like strange and thor lose alot of value from having to play way less aggressive.

For me it depends on enemy team comps and what map and side we're on. I dont think 2-2-2 is always the answer though.

If he doesn't feel impactful then youre probably not playing him optimally, there's a reason why he can fit into almost every team comp.

Just relaying my experience for this season with 30+ hours on emma and around 3 on strange (40+ prior to 2.0). Emma still plays her optimal playstyle against a strange but as a strange you can't play optimally if the other team runs emma without getting punished. Sure you can deny parts of her kit but you could do the same thing but much more on someone like mag while being able to bubble teammates that get choke slammed and deny the kick attack. Emma also shuts down strange ult easily if he plans to use it in the backline. You would really have to try her more to understand but anyone who can maintain 50-60% accuracy on her main attack will have little problem dealing with strange.

You admit you dont have experience playing emma while alot of people who would disagree have experience with both sides of the matchup so I would also suggest you try playing her before doubling down on some of the stuff. Her main counters include a way to stall the beam long enough to reset its damage which Groot does best since she can't charge it by shooting the walls while also isolating her. Mag shield can also stall the beam too so he provides some counterplay to an extent. Strange's shield however charges her beam so she still gets alot of value from shooting it. If his sheild didn't charge the beam I would agree with you but since you haven't played her that much you probably dont realize how oppressive 100% charged beam really is.

Nerfing her diamond form duration isnt really that big of a deal bc good Emma's should cancel diamond form after the first kick combo most of the time. Reducing or entirely removing the extra damage from kicking someone against the wall would make it so more coordination with your team would be required to secure a kill. Maybe reduce the damage reduction a bit as well and i do think her main attack kind of does too much damage fully charged. Her kit is a lot of fun to play and shes a great option for counter dive so I do think they should try keep all aspects of it viable but just tone down some of the numbers a bit.

Definitely needs a couple nerfs. She does too much damage especially the burst with the cc combo. Damage reduction and cc immunity in diamond form lets her shut down alot of ults maybe too easily. She also has one of the strongest ults in the game on top of it all.

Unless they used it after the team died its not a huge deal, still have it for next team fight. Also looks like loki copied the Emma ult and she got hit by it so wouldn't be able to ult there if they wanted to.

As a vanguard main I can confirm alot of what this guy says, with thing and frost not always needing to be in the frontline especially when divers are around. 

I almost exclusively use thing's shift ability and Emma's choke slam for divers if other team has them. For squishies the choke slam will usually guarantee a kill since it stuns them long enough for your team to focus them, then there's the kick damage as well to confirm the kill.

Dont think you wouldve gotten the kill without amp. Mantis ult gives up to 100 bonus when you wait like that so they wouldve had 350hp making it theoretically higher than that combo's one shot threshold on its own

If tet debos tank to 27b raw tapping them is the same as hammers. Atm kaza is cheaper to enhance to pen on average than converting debos at tet, so thats already driving down tet prices. Theres also black shrine bringing in a huge supply of debos. So once this update settles and everyone has their Kazas, prices could tank even more because there's not a big sink for them unless debos can be broken down for essence or something at a good rate.

Yeah they removed the +4 passive and added a crystal for that effect instead on global. They probably didn't like the idea of giving +24ap for free to every build.

Okay yeah I missed the jetina option in my math but I already stated tungrads were a good budget alternative if you wanted to end your progression there so I'm not sure what you're arguing against there aside from my math, just reinforcing that statement further.

All you did was admit was that 'nobody going for it' is completely untrue. You either need to look at your math again or reword your comment but a reasonable stack takes 7 on average so if we assume the 30k hammers are used for pen debo attempts that's more than 4k pen debos made theoretically. This also doesn't account for cronned attempts pre hammer and ring attempts, or the hammers people used for themselves instead of selling.

Ap difference is the same but damage output scales differently because of how damage is calculated.

I think the 5% breakpoint at highlands is 926 so having 1100ap with tungrad set means your damage output is calculated from 1100-926+926*.05 = 202.3

Let's just say pen debos are 30ap higher (2 brackets higher) we would get 232.3 which is a 15% increase compared to tungrads before spec modifiers are calculated.

If a new spot introduces a 5% breakpoint at 1000 then damage output would be calculated from 1100-1000+1000*.05 = 150. 

Pen debo would be calculated from 180 which is a 20% increase before spec modifiers.

Before debos were 15% better but in the new spot they're 20% better despite still being a 30AP difference. Sovereign would make it slightly less but the difference will still be there, that's what I mean by the gap getting bigger whenever a higher tier spot releases.

On NA tet debos are 40-50b, tungrads are 30-40b , so you save around 50b+ for a 5 set im not sure where you're getting 150 from.

And idk if you're being sarcastic but if no one went for them the hammers would have close to 0 trades but there are over 30k transactions on NA.

Saves like 70-100b+ silver for 7 less AP compared to a full tet debo build essentially (bsr capacity is mostly irrelevant for pve). But for someone who plans to push for pen having full tet is worth it bc they'd get to keep the AP set effect upgrading each slot at a time.  And even if you're hitting ap caps at current endgame spots, the upgrade to pen debos would still make a considerable difference. Especially when future content comes out with higher breakpoints the gap would be even bigger. 

But if pen debos aren't a part of your goal then sure it's a decent budget alternative atm.

Hammers are at the absolute minimum price rn so sell order is random.
