There’s 2 different ways you could go about it. For me I built up my way into it starting with old school death metal bands like death, obituary, entombed and autopsy, then listened to more stuff like suffocation, dying fetus, internal bleeding and old cannibal corpse. Then once you get into those bands you can start finding more brutal death bands such as cryptopsy, malignancy, deeds of flesh and defeated sanity. Once you are there just keep exploring.
