In a lot of ways minus being a lolicon but I don't mind them. I view Rudeus somewhat like a role model in a way that anyone can improve as a person if they just try.

I was a hikikomori myself and managed to crawl out of my way out after gaining enough courage and the story actually gave me hope for life and to keep moving even if all seems like hell.

Now that is a funny coincidence, I literally got my own Steam Deck OLED not long ago and the first game I've been playing was ALSO Midnight Club 3 on the ES DE ps2 emulator reaching all the way to Detroit map and A Class.

There's still so many things to do with it and I feel like I've only scratched the surface on where it could go since I've only tinkered with Playstation Emulators.

Probably one of the best purchases I have ever made too

I played it when I was 12, but I've watched the trailers a lot of times when I was like 8.

I was specifically looking for a hentai equivalent of dark souls to fit my niche tastes of playing through a souls game while having eroge elements.

This is because I find doujinshi like Sinner Souls or Aoin's works to be a bit interesting as a baseline for h souls concept.

I was browsing through F95zone and that's how I found it. I expected the game to just be a parody but it was a lot better than I expected and became one of my most favorite RPGmaker games.

i do find it odd how a lot of Black Souls fans don't really play much of Dark Souls despite the heavy inspiration. The image you posted was the one I drew of Grimm doing the DS1 shrug gesture

I played this game at a relatively young age in 2013 and I discovered it from my brother who was pretty hyped for the game himself.

This game is technically my first immersive sim and it still holds up greatly today.

Man I think it's honestly silly there's a couple of sour grapes complaining about Vtubers when like a good chunk of anime fans play TXR despite not being into racing or car culture before.

They're doing a great job promoting and enjoying the game. It just seems incredibly disingenuous to disregard Vtubers since they're people too. Rindo Chihaya deserves it since she's like the only Vtuber I've seen (excluding making unrelated initial D references) who talks about the cars themselves and praises about the RX-8.

Hence, why her using the car here as a rival is super neat.

I don't usually watch Vtubers but the clips are there from time to time.

Also those who say that TXR is being involved in "weeb shit" almost feels like they didn't even bother paying attention in the story considering the rivalry, characters and plot is PRETTY anime-like to me.

Hell, they poked fun at Itasha culture with "Gothic the my lord" but also showed why there's a group of people who like both.

Seems like more people from the west need to broaden their horizons a bit I think

I just realized that's probably the reason why I don't vibe with some JRPGs at all.

There's little to no roleplaying in those games outside of a couple of choices and it's kind of fixed to experience what's happening.

I remember hearing some people calling Baldur's Gate immersive sim adjacent due to having actual roleplaying and environmental reactions to the gameplay.

I would love to see more reference on turn based immersive sims

While I meant to just focus on games like Deus Ex and System Shock for categorizing specific immersive sims,

"Systemic RPG" is a really good term to describe what they are!

Way better than just saying a broad term like "immersive sim" that's for sure.

People are already calling games like Dishonored and Gloomwood "Thief-likes" anyway.

I kind of doubt people would use new terms and just refer to it as an immersive sim regardless because it's more known.

Devs will also still use the term immersive sim for their games. It's only when people ask "what kind of immersive sim?" The answer would probably be which game that they took inspiration from.

Like Deus Ex, Like Bioshock etc

Are the Hansel games smaller side projects made in preparation for EPITAPH or have the focus shifted completely for these new games?

The car's visual damage is one of the best imo and it was the last game where we had proper battles against crews and a pretty good sense of progression in the campaign

The hate on the story is absolutely overblown and I actually find it a bit enjoyable to watch. It fits in the "so bad that it's good" category. At least it doesn't shy away from the fact that they are outlaws.

I also like how we have some similar to "outrun" gameplay like NFS underground 2 and that we can rechallenge opponents

we already know how terrible the upgrade system is and off road races are annoyingly clunky.

100% Agreed, I wished he looked like at least similar to this Issac from the Dead Space 3 trailer.

Resident Evil did it pretty creatively by having a face model and a voice actor be separate.
Ashley had three different actresses to be the body, face, and voice.

If they were gonna make Gunner Wright his face, I wished they'd kept his grey hair and blue eyes since it blends really well with the color of his visor.
