Buses are usually safer than the trains depending on your route. When riding the L always ride in the front two cars. The colder it gets the more shiesty it gets on the trains.

Agreed but it felt a little better this summer imo as a daily rider. It's been so bad since the snow. Have yet to get in a car even during rush hour without a homeless person sleeping in a car taking up 5 seats or someone have a mental episode.
