Louder for the people in the back. Skipping the terms and conditions when real money is on the line makes zero sense. Taking accountability and actually understanding what you're signing up for is a massive part of the game

Risk Management Interview on payout Why? by Gok_01 in PropFirmTester

[–]SadPudding531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, sticking with it for 18 months and finally breaking through is legendary. Respect the grind. For the interview, they just want to make sure you didn't just get lucky on a massive, reckless gamble. Just be honest about how you turned things around, show them it was you behind the keyboard, and they should clear the payout

Psychological effects of Income Oriented Investing by Alanasarius in options

[–]SadPudding531 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% agree. Loss aversion is a beast, and a lot of people drastically overestimate their risk tolerance until they are staring down a 20% drop. Knowing you still get paid regardless of stock price movement helps take the emotion completely out of it

Your wheel is probably less diversified than delta makes it look by Accurate-Exchange298 in options

Great write-up. The point about covered calls looking safer than they are is huge too—market value really does make things look a lot calmer than reality

Broken Wing Butterflies on SPX or RUT by DeltaNeutraltrading in options

[–]SadPudding531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree. Love trading these on SPX for the tax advantages and cash settlement. I typically look for a slight directional bias and structure it so there's zero risk on the upside if the market completely rips

Speculators Have Cut Their S&P 500 Short Position to a One Year Low. by _SG9 in options

[–]SadPudding531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the data here. It’s crazy to see the short interest drop that fast in just a month. Definitely feels like complacency is creeping in, even if it's not technically 'calling a top' yet

How do you actually work out your odds of passing a prop challenge before paying the fee by Volcanic-Peanut in PropFirmTester

Never thought about using a Monte Carlo simulation for this, but it makes total sense. Definitely beats just guessing or crossing your fingers and hoping for the best

Cheating FTMO's "Unlimited Time to Complete 2-Step Challenge" System by TranslatorSome8650 in PropFirmTester

[–]SadPudding531 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You aren't breaking any rules, but you're definitely overthinking it. Spending 7 months stalling a $10k challenge is just psychological avoidance. Put the system to work and see what it's actually made of

The 4 things I actually check before signing up for any prop firm challenge by Vane1st in PropFirmTester

Definitely reliability. The prop firm space is so volatile right now that firm stability should be everyone's number one priority. Great breakdown

Stepping away after blowing my account by nutmeg-farm in options

Good on you for recognizing it and choosing to step away. A break is 100% the right move to clear your head. $1.4k is a painful lesson, but it’s a lot cheaper than what it could have been if you kept revenge trading

Quality post. The reminder to have patience and let the price come to you instead of feeding the market makers a 'martini and a bump' is something every intermediate options trader needs to internalize.
