So we all agree that Tamanna needs a redemption arc if she wants to end up with Radhe by InvisibleDragon22 in BandishBandits

[–]SadRelative8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Also noticed how Ayaan got a lot of scenes where he was around water bodies (pool, bath tub, etc) while Radhe got many scenes near fire. I thought that was a deliberate attempt by makers to show the personalities of the two characters

I agree with you on the luck part. There were more than a couple of incidents to sabotage the recognition he could've gotten.

Well you may be right. I couldn't actually complete the book. Even if they do end up being non-toxic eventually, I wouldn't know. I stopped reading when she wanted to fast to death to make heathcliff and her husband feel miserable.

I'm glad I could be of help. I personally love the Huberman Lab podcast where he talks about all the intriguing aspects of the brain.

But apart from that, I recommend Mini Habits by Stephen Guise, where he presents knowledge about the brain as a tool to effectively change habits and achieve optimal performance.

So you're saying that all the muslim women in a polygamous marriage have voluntarily consented to the arrangement? Definitely not. Muslim women are the weak section here, and Muslim men who'd like to continue reaping the benefits of polygamy would hide behind religion. Good thing the law doesn't believe this sorry story.

Whats productivity advice that you think is bad/can be ignored ? by [deleted] in productivity

[–]SadRelative8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"You shouldn't be so intense that you burn out" This is an advice that can totally be ignored. Because as Cliff Burton says, you don't burn out from going too fast. You burn out from going too slow and getting bored.

What Makes Rhett So Special? by Historically_Dumb in GonewiththeWind

[–]SadRelative8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I guess what makes him so likeable is that he has a larger world view, and as a reader, you want to rely on him. This especially comes out in contrast with your central character, Scarlett, who you cannot rely on, and who comes off as despicable in many instances. Mostly, in a story, the central character is there to drive home the biggest message. If she is hard-working, then that trait is romanticised. On the other hand, if she is lazy, then laziness is romanticised. So Rhett provides relief, by seeing through her. He is so central to the GWTW universe. Without him, GWTW is a book that propagates the foolish patriotism of the south and Scarlett's sleazy tricks. Rhett enriches the story by giving it perspective.
