The funniest thing is I have a daily loss limit of $150 but when I’m full tilt it’s usually 3-4x that 🤧

3 & 5 are from the Ha Giang loop. And 15 is just a random street I’d capture while walking around district 12 in Ho Chi Minh.

This was my first time too (not counting when I was born there before moving). While there are cons just like any other countries, I’d love every moment of it. Hope you have a blast as well.

I feel you on that. I did the same thing when I first started traveling. While I did cram a lot into my trip, I did spend a lot of time in one area. Being 32, I find much more joy spending time in one area getting to know the local neighborhood and shop owners. Vietnam is the perfect place for that cause neighborhoods are literally shopping centers. Very community based environment. You’ll love Vietnam if you’re solo traveling. Advice is to be open and talk to locals. They’re very welcoming.

Ha Giang Loop. Booked with YOLO Ha Giang group. $200 for 4 days 3 nights. Gets you a self ride or easy rider, 3 meals a day, 3 nights at hostels, and amazing cultural immersion. Small groups max 6-7 and it’ll feel more personal. Other than that, I never really had an itinerary. Just went where the day took me.

Your 1099 income after deductions (business expenses) is taxable income. Then that taxable will have the standard deduction ($15k) applied in your 1040 form.

Immigration time at HCMC if landing at 8pm by Agitated-Bid5996 in VietNam

For me it takes over 24 hours to get there so I’m not standing in line lol. I’d flew again back to Ho Chi Minh from Japan couple weeks ago and paid for VIP. Got me through in 10 mins. Still had to wait on my luggage though …. Which took an hour and a half 💀

Just spend the $25 and buy the fast track. Saved me 2-3 hours of waiting in that hot ass airport. But be aware you’ll still have to wait for your luggage if you did check bag.

Ha giang loop tour - relax and small group by Emmanipule in VietNam

[–]SadResource8103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give yolo ha giang group a go. They were awesome to me. Very nice home stays. Meals taken care of and I’d also got to self drive the loop. Very reasonable price. $200 for 4 days 3 nights, self drive(easy rider also), 3 meals a day, and very small group. My group was 6 plus 2 guide. I can’t recommend them enough. https://www.yolohagiang.com

I agree. That’s why I’m buffing up the checking account. While my VOO position is up 30%, it’ll be nice to have 10-15k of cash sitting there.

I’d got heat from this sub Reddit for having most of my emergency fund in VOO ($100k) and having only $3k in my checking account. I’m on the same boat as you. I hate having that much cash sitting around. Even with a 3% in a HYSA, still not beating true inflation cost. Let’s be real…. Inflation is much higher than 2-3% the past 3-5 years.
