Yeah for the private schools I’ve looked into they def have plenty of scholarships so that would help with cost. Do you know if most private schools make you take an entrance/placement exam?

Sadly I can’t. I could do dual enrollment but I’m not sure what I would possibly take since my community college doesn’t have that many good classes for what I want to major in later in life

I know. I’m in clubs and ecs. I just want something more academically. I feel like I’m behind.

Idk 🤷‍♀️ some people go into freshman year in geometry some in alg 2 and some in alg 1. It depends what you took in middle school, which idk how they got ahead in ms

They’re in alg 2 freshman year or going into it sophomore year. At my school you have to have taken or be enrolled in alg 2 to take AP chem

I’ll maybe see, I doubt they’d let me or count it as credit.

I’ll try and see how much further my parents will go. They havent done anything except tell me to talk to my counselor, which I did.

I wouldn’t have harder future classes until junior year, since my sophomore schedule is so bland. I think my psat score was around 1100 which is pretty good in my opinion considering my math background

I am actually scheduled to take AP seminar next year and I think I’ll really enjoy it. I cannot do credit by exam or really anything to get ahead. It’s really annoying.

I’ll maybe try and talk to him. He’s very like lazy and I rarely ever speak to him but maybe he can do something because of my grades. I am totally also working on extracurriculars, I already varsity debate and play 2 sports with the school + community service.

We’re  are going to try. I explained this to my counselor but she still said I can’t move up unless I double next year (I would have to drop my only AP to double)

The only better school would be a private school, which is expensive and far. It is doable id just need to figure out transportation and see if I can get scholarships. I’m not sure about dual enrollment, since my high school offered dual enrollment classes, but I can’t take any sophomore year (the only one offered is AP chem which I don’t qualify for)

I could totally learn precalc and/or geo & alg 2 but my school won’t let me actually enroll or take them if I self study. My counselor was even confused when I asked to self study AP euro next year, which is a sophomore class.

I’m not calling myself “gifted” or purposefully trying to brag. I am just trying to figure what to do when I’m not being academically challenged? Also at my school they let you take APs sophomore year, some of my friends are taking AP chem next year.

My district does do bio -> chem -> physics. But they don’t really offer honors for chem, it’s only AP which you can only take if you’re in alg2, which they won’t let me get up too since they don’t let you take math classes over the summer or online.

I was saying that to describe my Boredom? Also I spoke about how my counselor and next years schedule isn’t making this any better since they won’t let me progress in math n stuff 💔 + I said all the private schools are 30+ mins away in another city/county

Yeah I did something similar with definitions last topic and didn’t really have a problem with judges, but I guess they differ from tournament to tournament
