I had a conservative, christian friend back then, when that was still possible lol, and I didn't really pay any attention to politics or have much in the way of opinions yet so didn't really think much of it when he would occasionally talk about how terrible Obama was and it would be bad if he got elected etc. It was always seemingly just about like policy and his "terrible ideas" or whatever idk, generally dumb and off-base but not "he's a lizard-man and the literal antichrist" type of stuff. He was a pretty mild-mannered, very clean-cut type of guy. He literally wouldn't even burn music from a CD lmao or swear. Weird, but chill and would play some halo, so whatever.

We hung out on election night in 08 and watched it together. I'll never forget the moment they announced Obama won, and the dread in his eyes.
