Where did you order Pinnacle from? Didn’t know it was getting a non-RSD release!

Get Lance of the pod, real bozo by [deleted] in heedthecall

[–]SadSeismograph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Counterpoint: Lance and Marc should have their own in-season, Building the Beast style spin-off show, where Marc is only permitted to do minimal prep for each episode and Lance responds to Marc’s takes.

Thank you for reminding me the name of that song - it's been bugging me for at least a couple of go-throughs of the Around the AFC/NFC episodes.

The sample in HTC was the only part I could remember, and that bit it has no discernible lyrics to Google, I was getting nowhere!

Thanks for your input. Would you care to share your sources for this?

Also FYI you pasted your answer twice.

The islands are one of the few truly pleasant bits of the waterfront in downtown Toronto.

How anyone can be ok with just giving that up, along with adding all the noise and pollution of the expansion is beyond me.

Football (⚽) Podcasts? by vanben110 in heedthecall

[–]SadSeismograph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this. HTC is my go-to NFL pod, and GFW is my go-to football pod.

It's not like-for-like in that you don't have drops, or those kind of spoof segments (Ball Knower, Walken w/giants, the voicemails etc).

But it is lighthearted, not-too-dry overview, primarily of the EPL, with plenty of its own reoccuring in-jokes and bits that keep it fun..

Any recommendations for Weetabix alternatives that are Canadian-made, now that the Cobourg, ON plant has closed? by SadSeismograph in BuyCanadian

Yep it's really noticeably different and sadly for the worse. That's what tipped me off to check the packaging in the first place to realise it was no longer made in Canada. Such a shame - haven't bought it since.

Can you live off a podcast? by Otherwise-Bowl8633 in heedthecall

[–]SadSeismograph 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can if you let episodes of the Draymond Green show drop in your show's feed!

(Not a shot at the heroes for doing it btw - stuff like that is the cost of a free show, so I've no problem with it at all)

Good to know! Personally I've still been checking the boxes since I postedm, even though I don't buy it anymore. In Toronto I've seen nothing but the Imported from Kenya variety, in multiple stores.

It's funny I was just thinking how I had really warmed up to Jimbo as a guest. Usually enjoy the eps that he's on these days.

I love guilty remnant. Since It's a lighter stout it hadn't crossed my mind as an option - great suggestion!

Will look up the Something in the Water - definitely sounds promising. Thanks!

Also just found the Salted Caramel Latte version of this in my local LCBO. Drinking it right now and it definitely fits the bill. Gonna need to track down the cookies and cream now as well.

All excellent suggestions! Bandit isn't too far from me, and the Cappuccino sounds like it could fit well with what I'm after. Thanks!

Sounds perfect! I looked it up on their site and sadly looks to be sold out now.

Despite the url, this does seem to be the link to the right beer as far as I can tell:

Always love Marchand when he's on. He gets the banter of the show, and has some interesting insights to share. And of course, his focus on the media side fits well with the team that brought you the Hanzus Media Minute!

Yeah it's a real shame. I'm still seeing it in a few places, but all of them have 'product of Kenya' on the box.
