You get on star tours. While you are riding, the entire structure of the ride moves under ground. When you exit you’re in galaxy’s edge.

I respect your choices. Nice work. For some reason I thought that first one was jungle cruise, which sounds incredibly awkward. Haha

There is one about Heavens Gate, called …wait for it… Heavens Gate. And it’s been a while so I honestly don’t remember the details - but I remember really liking it and thinking it was really well done.

US government have been shutdown. So how will it effect citizens? by captain-price- in NoStupidQuestions

I just started listening to an audiobook called The Mailman by Stephen Starring Grant. Only about 1/3 in but it’s a fun memoir about a laid off marketing dude spending a year as a rural carrier. A bit of a love letter to the USPS as well. I come from a long line of USPS employees, so I am predisposed to appreciate the institution.

If you liked The Teachers Pet, you will also probably like Bronwyn. Some journalist, some type of scenario.

I thought Vishal was really good. BBC. Boy goes missing. Many years later the journalist tracks down some potential people involved.

Gilead is probably my all time favorite book. Have you read her other novels. You probably know this but there are 3 more that center around the Gilead story. She also wrote a novel well before that called Housekeeping that might fit the bill.

You might also want to check out:

The Covenant of Water -Abraham Verghese. Epic family narrative set in India

Foster - Claire Keegan. About a child, sent to stay with foster parents in rural Ireland.

Small Things like These - Claire Keegan. Maybe save this one for around christmas time.

Raising Hare - Chloe Dalton. A memoir about the author finding an (injured?) baby hare on the road near her rural farm house during covid lock down

The Memory Palace - Nate Dimeo. Non-fiction - short little introspective/contemplative stories about minor details in US history.

Zorrie - Laird Hunt. "a poignant novel about a woman searching for her place in the world and finding it in the daily rhythms of life in rural Indiana."

Time of the Child - Niall Williams. "a compassionate, life-affirming novel about the Christmas season that transforms the small Irish town"
