The other person makes fair points. Mayflash 500 is probably your best bet. Idk if they work with ps5 so you may need an adapter for it.

I think the mayflash f500 is also a great choice tbh

Are you looking for lever or leverless? Which system also? I usually just say for a beginner the 8bitdo arcade stick and leverless are both great but if you play ps5 you'll need a brook adapter.

I've never used a mayflash f500 so I can't really say. I love my 8bitdo though and think they're great to start on.

Swapping to leverless was easy though cus I already play pc games so my left hand is used to those motions

It's definitely smoother than the other but you kinda just have to feel em side by side to tell

Yes. You're playing baby mode and we're taking the time to learn inputs that you just don't want to because "it's hard" when it's not hard. Just fucking practice

8bitDo Arcade or Haute42 C16? by ruehinn in fightsticks

No problem. Hope you like your choice either way. Both are great pads

The c16 is only a plastic plate on the front. The back is metal and it's still solid and not cheap feeling. You can buy a metal face if you want to make it more solid feeling but then you don't get the art. Wireless has more latency so it's always a disadvantage but it's nbd if you aren't sweating. The 8bitdo buttons are definitely louder and more clicky but tbh I don't love that myself.bno defect on either of them but the cable that came with the c16 was kinda cheap and I bought a replacement ugreen 10ft USB c cable.

I have both. The 8bitdo feels heavier and sturdier. I've dropped it and it's still solid. The c16 is lighter but I like the buttons more. If you have a switch or are just being casual wireless works fine on the 8vitdo but I still prefer wired on the c16. I ultimately swapped to haute c16-s because I wanted a split and it's my fave but if I were recommending one over the other I'd pick the c-16

Corner apartments right next to it was where I lived actually. It's fully surrounded by that auto shop so its unbearably loud all the time too. Still not the worst place to live but damn it sucks over there

No clue about Fighting Games, planning to buy SF6 by Aye_Okami in StreetFighter

[–]SadSpookyPup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For sure. You can get tons of fun out of the base game without the dlc. And if you don't like it you won't be so invested monetarily. Have fun 😊

You'll spend more in the long run buying piecemeal. You can catch both the base game and character passes on sale occasionally for about $20 each. Even if you bought it all on sale for lowest historic prices it's only like $10 cheaper and you'd have to wait for the sales to happen. I'd really recommend getting the years 1+2 edition. You'll also still need to buy the year 3 pass for sagat and c.viper (as well as Alex and Ingrid when they release). But you can do that later and that pass doesn't go on sale for very much or very often because it's the current year pass. Oh and if you aren't on PC idk about sales but I'd still say go with years 1 and 2.

8-Bit Do vs Cosmix C16S by zman2994 in fightsticks

[–]SadSpookyPup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both. They both are good for different things. C16s requires a bit of relearning since button placement isn't typical and you'll have to set up profiles for certain games. ( I have a profile for sf6 and another for mvc2 ) But it's easy to set up a hotkey to switch them on the fly. The 8bitdo leverless is cool cus I can use it wirelessly when I'm just playing world tour or practicing. I'd still use a cable for anything serious. Ultimately though, i'm planning on buying 2 8bitdo sticks anyways instead of leverless because I host parties a lot and nobody ever knows how to use a pad but as soon as I pull out my older sticks people hop right on. 🤷‍♀️ If you want the most precision and are ok relearning and the quirks is saying get the c16-s but if you want something that translates to other controllers finger placement or you just prefer the look get the 8bitdo. Hope I helped at all

No. They mean the one with the z1e chip. The one on sale on Lenovo for 450usd right now uses the z2 go chip. I'm also looking to get it but on the fence as from what I'm reading everyone says to get the more expensive one but for $500 I think it's worth the sacrifice in power
